I wouldn’t expect him to understand the feelings of a foreign nation and a tragedy that happened to it. I mean, Kenya never has had anything like 9-11.

As you probably know, Sean Hannity, FOX NEWS, was supposed to have had a special report Sunday, 9 Aug 09, but it never materialized. For whatever reason, they aired an episode that was done earlier in the week. Why was it pulled? Listening and watching the segments below of that proposed show will enlighten you as to just what is going on in America.

To everyone who thought the special about Obama was going to be on Hannity, it was taken off. Here are the segments. You’d better watch now before they are removed too.

Here are the 6 segments, if they haven’t been removed before you get to them.

SRES 245 IS

111th CONGRESS

1st Session

S. RES. 245

Recognizing September 11 as a ‘National Day of Service and Remembrance’.

IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES

August 6, 2009

Mr. SCHUMER (for himself, Mrs. GILLIBRAND, Mr. MENENDEZ, Mr. LAUTENBERG, Mr. CASEY, Mr. SPECTER, Mr. DODD, and Mr. LIEBERMAN) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

RESOLUTION

Recognizing September 11 as a ‘National Day of Service and Remembrance’.

Whereas, on September 11, 2001, terrorists ruthlessly attacked the United States, leading to the tragic deaths and injuries of thousands of innocent United States citizens and other citizens from more than 90 different countries and territories;

Whereas in response to the attacks in New York City, Washington, DC, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians, physicians, nurses, military personnel, and other first responders immediately and without concern for their own well-being rose to service, in a heroic attempt to protect the lives of those still at risk, consequently saving thousands of men and women;

Whereas in the immediate aftermath of the attacks, thousands of recovery workers, including trades personnel, iron workers, equipment operators, and many others, joined with firemen, police officers, and military personnel to help to search for and recover victims lost in the terrorist attacks;

Whereas in the days, weeks, and months following the attacks, thousands of people in the United States and others spontaneously volunteered to help support the rescue and recovery efforts, braving both physical and emotional hardship;

Whereas many first responders, rescue and recovery workers, and volunteers, as well as survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, continue to suffer from serious medical illnesses and emotional distress related to the physical and mental trauma of the 9/11 tragedy;

Whereas hundreds of thousands of brave men and women continue to serve every day, having answered the call to duty as members of the United States Armed Forces, with thousands having given their lives or suffered injury to defend our Nation’s security and prevent future terrorist attacks;

Whereas the entire Nation witnessed and shared in the tragedy of September 11, 2001, and in the immediate aftermath of the attacks became unified under a remarkable spirit of service and compassion that inspired and helped heal the Nation;

Whereas in the years immediately following the attacks of September 11, 2001, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics documented a marked increase in volunteerism among the people of the United States;

Whereas families of 9/11 victims, survivors, first responders, rescue and recovery workers, and volunteers called for Congress to pass legislation to formally authorize the establishment of September 11 as an annually recognized ‘National Day of Service and Remembrance’, and for the President of the United States to proclaim the day as such;

Whereas, in 2004, Congress unanimously passed H. Con. Res. 473, expressing the sense of Congress that it is appropriate to observe the anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, with voluntary acts of service and compassion;

Whereas hundreds of thousands of people in the United States from all 50 States, as well as others who live in 170 different countries, annually observe the anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, by personally engaging in service, good deeds, and other charitable acts; and

Whereas, on March 31, 2009, Congress passed the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, which included for the first time authorization and Federal recognition of September 11 as a ‘National Day of Service and Remembrance’, a bill signed into law on April 21, 2009, by President Barack Obama: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Senate--

(1) calls upon all people in the United States to annually observe a ‘National Day of Service and Remembrance’, with appropriate and personal expressions of reflection, including performing good deeds, attending memorial and remembrance services, and voluntarily engaging in community service or other charitable activities of their own choosing in honor of those who lost their lives or were injured in the attacks of September 11, 2001, in tribute to those who rose to come to the aid of those in need, and in defense of our Nation; and

(2) urges all people in the United States to continue to live their lives throughout the year with the same spirit of unity, service, and compassion that was exhibited throughout the Nation following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

With the help of the Obama administration, the coalition is launching a public relations campaign under the radar of the mainstream media -- which remains almost uniformly terrified of criticizing the nation's first black president -- to try to change 9/11 from a day of reflection and remembrance to a day of activism, food banks, and community gardens.

"The organizing term is to 'go dark.' You don't tell the press, don't tell people you think will tell the press," said the source.

As if the MSM will bother to report this.

I didn't read all 140+ comments but this 'National Day of Service' is really Bill H. R. 1388. Its 141 pages and on 4/21/2009 it was signed by the pretender president. It became Public Law No: 111-13.

And its title is (better put away all sharp objects) ....

The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act
an Act to reauthorize and reform the national service laws

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; TABLE OF CONTENTS.
(a) SHORT TITLE.— This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Serve America Act’’
~~~ snip~~~
TITLE I—AMENDMENTS TO NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE ACT OF 1990
This is the last page of the Bill...
TITLE VI—EFFECTIVE DATE
SEC. 6101. EFFECTIVE DATE.
(a) IN GENERAL.— This Act, and the amendments made by this Act, take effect on October 1, 2009.
(b) REGULATIONS.— Effective on the date of enactment of this Act, the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation for National and Community Service may issue such regulations as may be necessary to carry out this Act and the amendments made by this Act.
SEC. 6102. SENSE OF THE SENATE.
(a) FINDINGS.—The Senate finds the following:
(1) President John F. Kennedy said, ‘‘The raising of extraordinarily large sums of money, given voluntarily and freely by millions of our fellow Americans, is a unique American tradition . . . Philanthropy, charity, giving voluntarily and freely . . . call it what you like, but it is truly a jewel of an American tradition’’.
etc, etc, etc
I'm getting really, really, REALLY sick of seeing that Drunken Fat Ass MURDER'S name on all these bills.
I hope he meets Satan asap!
Like living in a communist dictatorship. Change the actual historical meaning of everything. Orwell was right.
I read something addressed to the worship and social action leadership where I work to “help Obama” in a summer-long effort of good deeds to conclude with a “National Day of Service” on Friday, September 11.” I was outraged. I spoke to three people in the leadership—and being amazingly dense liberals that they are, they saw nothing wrong with it. They said maybe it was time to move on and not dwell on the tragedy and make September 11 about something positive. I couldn’t believe it! I said, 9/11 was deadliest attack on the U.S., deadlier than Pearl Harbor. I said, Jews continue to commemorate Yom Hashoah, 60 years after the Holocaust. But somehow, could not penetrate thick skulls.
“..... that day is a fearful day.”
9/11 should remain a fearful day and reminder for EVERYONE. But, if you’re a practicing or “closet” muslim, it would be a day of celebration or “service”. El Zeero is applying methyolate to America’s sore spots and telling us “it’ll only burn for a minute - just blow on it and it’ll be all better”.
It is the only way the Democrats can win is if they insist we forget what happened. Time to design a flag to specially fly on 9/11 with something to the effect of “We have Not forgotten!”
Let him call it whatever he wants. Easter is already Spring Holiday. Christmas is Winter Holiday. We know what they really are. Just as MLK Day is really Robert E Lee’s Birthday for me. He can call 9/11 what he wants, but to me it will always be “Go to the range and practice” Day.
Of course, 11/4, 1/20, and 4/15 are also “Go to the range and practice” Day, so that’s becoming confusing.
