"Send a warrior to Congress."
"Does this look like a Rino?"
In the battleground of American political power, candidates for office tend to use every weapon at their disposal to be heard above the din.
Now, a U.S. Marine who helped lead the initial charge into Iraq to oust Saddam Hussein is taking that approach literally by brandishing his M-16 assault rifle in some eye-catching campaign fundraising ads.
"I'm taking full credit for that," says 28-year old Jesse Kelly of Tucson, Ariz., a Republican seeking to boot Democrat Gabrielle Giffords from the U.S. House of Representatives. "If you're not going to get anyone's attention, you might as well not waste your time or money."
Kelly, who is married and has a 9-month-old son, is splashing his spots across the Internet on high-profile sites such as the Drudge Report, and offering no apologies about the weapon imagery.
"I think people understand fully well that I'm serving my country," he said. "I'm in Iraq at war for my nation. I'm not posing in my bedroom with a gun."

We need more men like him in Washington!
Good for him.
We had nobody support us when we came back from Viet Nam.
Maybe someone who has the balls to stand up and be heard is what we need.
I support him completely...........................
DUmmie conniption fit report please.
This should be fun.
As opposed to the Birch Society carrying the weapons to public events which can backfire, PR-wise. (at least at this stage). We have to be tactical. I think this ad is good, actually.
Congress? Heck. Send him to a town hall.
Here is his website for those who missed the link on Drudge!

People are more polarized and active on the right now, and that’s good. I’m sick of the career politicians who have no ideology (think McCain or old Arlen) and just love cutting deals. I was hoping when Obama got elected, he’d help us purge our ranks of RINOs. Now to purge the Congress of Democrats.
bump
Wish this guy were running in my Congressional District...
Seems the mans name is blocked out on his web page.
Wish him luck from here in Alabama.
I like his style. Time to clean House.
What are his chances?
Tuscon...he’ll probably win:)
He has potential, and this looks like the kind of election he could win.
IF.. the state GOP supports him. The last two times the state GOP has sat on it’s fat rear end.
I just created a new bookmark folder. Jesse was the first entry.
Now if we kick a few bucks their way, that will help us all
I have predicted this would happen, Military Leaders returning home to seek political office and level the Political playing field by running for Congress.
The military has been over in Irag for several years, and they have seen how the Anti-war crowd has been getting face time on all the State run Networks, while 30,000 Vets/Americans show up on 3/17/2007 March on the Pentagon to protest the Protest, and no coverage.....no CNN, No ABC, No NBC, etc....
While getting the news from family and friends, and seeing the headlines saying all sorts of lies.
One has but to compare the YouTube Video greetings by the Troops of BUSH Iraq visit, and then look at the Obama Iraq Visit.
I wish Petraus would Resign and come run for office....these brave Military men need to show up in Congress and be counted, and send the current office holders to the Malls and retirement.
Exactly the kind of true patriot we need in Washington.
