We calculate that 46 million people will contract the infection, resulting in 2.7 million hospitalizations, 331,587 episodes of ARF-MV and nearly 200,000 deaths, suggesting that the US may require the ability to provide MV at a volume approximately 33% over the current annual use . . .

What are the side effects of thimerosol and squalene (sp)?
A lot of the anti-vax rhetoric comes from the fact that a fair number of people believe it is linked to autism, and there is a lot of autism awareness. I hear PSAs all the time about autism, the odds of a child being autistic, etc. Then we're seeing a lot of stories about how the swine flu vaccine during the Ford years caused a few severe reactions.
I'm sure if it later appears that our gov't acted slowly that there will be no shortage of excuses for Obama and the Dims. It's seeme to me that both our gov't and the WHO have tried to cover themselves with rhetoric while taking no action other then raising the alerts, declaring a pandemic, etc.,
I don't take flu vaccines simply because I've only had a real case of the flu once as a child. Have flu-like symptoms, but no full, several days in bed illness since that one case as a kid. This time I'll just see what develops and then decide what to do when a vaccine might be available to me. Probably won't take it unless this becomes a very deadly flu with frequent respiratory complications.
Can you say a complete lack of trust in the government and ALL related activities?
I don't believe the military (which is monitoring over 1 million doses of the vaccine), The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System and The Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) are frauds. I don't believe what they report will be hidden.
It has been said around 35,000 people die in the USA alone every year due to the flu. If this H1N1 strain, made up of Swine/Avian/and 2 DIFFERENT strains of human flu is around 100 times more lethal, then we are looking ata potential death toll of 3,500,000 dead in the United States alone!
I should have posted more of the study.
"100 times more lethal" refers only to those who develop ARDS as a result of the flu. ARDS is rare in flu cases. Study estimates that of everyone who gets the normal flu in France, one in a million develops ARDS. Country sees only 5 to 10 cases a year.
Works like this (numbers are made up):
Normal flu: 1000 people develop ARDS. 1 dies.
This flu: 1000 people develop ARDS. 100 die.
The study does not show what the fatality rate for the flu is or how much more likely anyone is to get ARDS.
What the study does show is we're dealing with something very different than the regular flu.
I totally agree.
So, assuming no, or only minor, mutation, a severe spring attack would provide immunity this winter, correct?
They need to loudly distance themselves from the socialist in the white house! I believe NOTHING from the dem's, Like this:
The Obama Administrations advisory group on Science and Technology says the H1N1 flu virus "poses a serious health threat"
I mistyped. I do believe the data from those groups is accurate.
Not quite as deadly as Obamacare...
