Voters in the 1st Congressional District seem to be fairly evenly divided on key health care proposals pending in Congress, said Rep. Martin Heinrich, who faces some of those voters today at a town hall meeting in Albuquerque.
But Heinrich, a freshman Democrat from Albuquerque, said provisions to force insurance companies to cover everyone enjoy widespread support because "those things are important and common sense."
Proposals such as organizing a government-run insurance company are much more controversial, even among members of Congress, Heinrich told Journal editors and reporters earlier this week. Heinrich said he supports the so-called public option ...

Heinrich should have stuck with what he does best. That maneuver of his was wildly successful.
