The author of The God Delusion and The Selfish Gene, whose new book, The Greatest Show on Earth, is serialised in The Times next week, has topped bestseller lists all over the world but never in a predominantly Muslim country.
None of Professor Dawkins’ books, on evolution as well as religion, has ever been translated into Arabic, and his work has been heavily censored in Turkey. In an interview with The Times, he said that popularising evolution in the Islamic world, where creationist beliefs are strong, was a challenge he is keen to take up. “To be a bestseller in a Muslim country would be a personal triumph,” he said.
“I would like to see my books translated into Arabic. They haven’t been. They are all translated into Hebrew. Persian, I’m not sure. My books are translated into Turkish and they regularly get censored and suppressed.
“The experience of my Turkish publisher of The God Delusion was that he was threatened with arrest for blasphemy. He may even have been arrested, and my website has been banned in Turkey. I feel amused really. There’s something to be said for being suppressed, it makes people want to read you.”
While most non-fundamentalist Christian traditions have largely accepted evolution, Islam was still much more hostile, he said. “It’s the fact that Islam teaches the Koran is the literal word of God, unlike most Christian sects, which say the Bible is largely symbolic. That could well be the cause.”
Professor Dawkins added that Islamic influence is the likely explanation for the growing popularity of creationist beliefs in Britain, where a recent poll found that 30 per cent of teenagers accept the rebranded idea of “intelligent design”.

People need to see this cretin for what he is and try to rationalize how they can believe him and reject God at the same time.
My big question for Richard Dawkins is simply WHY???? WHY do you feel so inclined to promote your atheist viewpoint? WHY is it important, when everything is just a random assortment of molecules bouncing here and there? What is wrong with hating gays? What is wrong with killing? Adultery? Religious bigotry? Because if you are truly an atheist, then you should have absolutely no qualms about anything that happens in this world. As long as you are taking care of #1, then nothing, NOTHING else matters. I suspect that Dawkins isn’t as much an atheist as he would like you and I to believe; otherwise, he simply would not CARE so much.

Arabic has way fewer articles than Catalan or Esperanto.
One gets the feeling the 280 million Arabic speakers just ain't into learnin' and communicatin' outside their own sphere.

Yes, they claim to believe in Him but don't realize that they DENY Him in believing in evolution. When belief is compromised it is no longer truth - clever huh? The entire premise of ALL evolution is that there is no God. The Bible is clear that it didn't take millions of years and dinosaurs existed when man was created.

There are other verses as well. The Hebrew bears out the seven, 24 hour days of Creation. Ah, ignorance will get them all the time. It matters not to me how many wish to be ignorant or compromise truth. “Numbers” don't make it truth. Hitler is right, when you tell a lie often enough people will believe you. I point to Obama’s election as another example of how ignorance and the truth about Obama was denied. Sure there is voters remorse, NOW just as their will be believers remorse when they can no longer deny the truth about Creation. I pray that they wake up before their eternity is determined.

Yes, many prefer to transform and conform to the world. It's easy to do that.

Itching ears is more the norm. The Christian church has let it's followers down in more situations than not. Homosexuals are often part of the clergy. You are vilified if you are a genuine Christian. God isn't fooled. It is all working together - imorality, evolution etc. to bring about:

What is going on out there is merely a delusion to distract you from Him. I'm betting my eternal life on it. The evidence of Him is all around us. Even in caves we see drawings that show dinosaurs existed with man. In fact, the intelligence of older man is still soemthing to be in awe of. Take the pyramids and artifacts they find ... they can’ t explain the intellectual sophistication. A worldwide flood - no problem. Shells found in the desert. The Grand Canyon ... no problem with Creation. The dating methods they use are laughable. They ASSUME a constant consistent weather - which any moron knows is not true.
Anyway, people will believe what they want to believe however denying His truth is most unwise for their eternity. So, no, I am not impressed with who you name. You can name as many deniers as you like and I will remain unimpressed.

There is no logical flaw in my request.
All atheists are evolutionists. All Catholics should be evolutionists, if church positions on the matter are authoritative for all Catholics, and I understand them to be.
Logically, it stands to reason that some self-identified Catholics are in fact atheist as well, illogical as such belief would apparently be.
Cultural Catholicism explains the phenomenon. The Bible has nothing to do with belief in evolution, or belief in no god.
To be fair, there are plenty of mainline Protestants who are in the same, irrational position. But, it’s entirely by choice, not by dictat.

Dawkins is as much of a fanatic as anyone he name-calls.
He is a typical loony liberal out there pushing his own set of morality, a morality that is merely vapor based upon vapor, that is, he has no foundation.
