A passenger on a flight from Vancouver that was taken into custody at a Toronto airport late Friday night is not fugitive reality-TV actor Ryan Jenkins, police say.
Peel Regional Police Staff Sgt. Keith Brodie told Global News that a man from Vancouver who was detained at Toronto's Pearson International Airport at about 11:30 p.m. was confirmed, through fingerprints, to not be Ryan Jenkins.
A passenger on the plane, who only wanted to be identified as Susan, told Global News that 10 armed police officers came on board after the plane landed in Toronto.
"When we landed at 11:30 p.m., we were asked to all sit down," she said.
"The lead (officer) had his 8x10 colour picture of the suspect and just walked row through row until he got to (him)," she said. "They just asked him if he was that person, and that he was, and then they placed him under arrest."
Susan said the passenger was not resistant when he was arrested.
"He actually smiled, and said, Yes, that's who I am,'" she said. "They put him in handcuffs and walked him out."

So the wrong guy admits to being a fugitive??
It’s like posing as an imposter.
Its like posing as an imposter.
Weird. Why would a guy admit to being someone he wasn't. Or, did he just happened to have the same name as this Jenkins, or an alias that Jenkins is known to use?
This is why eye witness accounts are so incredibly unreliable. Was he saying "That's who I am", when shown a picture, or was he just asked a name? Crappy reporting, just horrible.
