This whole situation (no pun intended) is a paradox in a paradox. There is no Whole Foods near me, but there is a “Food Co-op”, a 2 million dollar enterprise in a smaller town.

The store definitely models after Whole Foods. Strange all the liberal green granolas shop there, as they are attracted to whole foods and healthier living, as well as the “co-op” principle. But at the same time they want ObaamCare.

John Mackeys point of personal health responsibility through healthy living is key to a healthier life and less dependence on the medical system; that other liberal groups attack Whole Foods is just bizzare, and begs the question, what is thier mtovation for health care “reform”.

The other paradox is conservatives, who should be practicing Mackeys philosophy as one means of contributing to a rational health care system, as well as their own health, are as rare as three dollar bills in such whole foods establishments.

Couldn't agree more! Unfortunately the closest Whole Foods to me is more than 100 miles away or I'd be there weekly. John Mackey clearly understands the science behind a healthy diet. If Americans would only wake up to the diet propaganda delivered to us by the USDA and start eating a healthy diet our national health care costs would plummet. Why so many otherwise intelligent and informed conservatives ignore the science baffles me.
