Model Murder Suspect Arrested in Toronto August 21, 2009
LOS ANGELES -- Ryan Jenkins, the man wanted for the murder of a former model found dead and mutilated in a suitcase, has been arrested, Canadian sources report.
Officials of the Toronto Police Department have confirmed to KTLA that a man they took into custody at the Toronto Airport Friday night was positively identified as fugitive Ryan Jenkins
Jenkins was tracked by authorities to Blaine, Washington on Wednesday night.
Jenkins' car and an empty boat trailer were found near a Blaine marina, law enforcement officials speaking under condition of anonymity said Friday.
A Coast Guard cutter pursued a speed boat believed to belong to Jenkins several miles from the shore.
Jenkins' speed boat fled into Canadian waters, the law enforcement official said.

Last night he was in BC / WA ... today he’s in Toronto ... how the heck does a wanted murder suspect get on a cross-country flight?!

Yeah. I guess that show was over a little while ago or something. I think this dead model met him and they got a quickie wedding in Vegas. They were at a hotel and she was on the phone in the bathroom. Supposedly talking to her mom but it may have been an old boyfriend. He went nots and beat her and killed her. I think this is what happened.
She was sort of a sad sack who would do modeling shoots for things like WFC or motorcycle conventions.
I guess she met this guy and thought he had some money and had been on TV. Sad.
Yeah, the show was called “Megan wants a Millionaire” apparently.

VH1 taped the final episodes back in March. But they said they will not be airing the remaining episodes of the show. Plus they said in the future they will do better background checks. I guess this guy has a long rap sheet of abusing women.
The security for flights within Canada is not as tight as flights outside the border. He could have paid for a ticket with cash and shown a drivers licence to a security agent and flight attendant who took a 2 second glance at it. I doubt his name was on any "no fly list" for domestic flights.
He obviously had been watching CSI shows by trying to get rid of her teeth and finger prints so she couldn’t be identified if found. I know the police and forensic people haven’t appreciated the tricks they teach to the masses on those shows like using bleach to destroy physical and DNA evidence at crime scenes and on bodies, but all breast implants have identification numbers on them. Doom on Mr. Jenkins.

According to his profile on LinkedIn he has flying (multi-engine) experience (and was a trainer as well). Maybe he flew himself in some plane. He's been working in Canada, so I guess he has some contacts.
Poor girl. Not to try to shift blame like a lib but VH1 made him into a minor celeb. If that had not happened - she probably would have never met him. Sad.
Several reports from local media said that Ryan Jenkins was arrested. Jenkins is still on the loose.
I never watch those CSI shows as they are dumb and gross. I do like William Petersen as I think he a pretty good actor. I do not watch the shows.

The radio news is saying that identification of the individual in custody is pending.
Yah... and it’s not like the name “Ryan Jenkins” is really all that unusual. Maybe that’s what is behind the TMZ report.
