When I was a teenager, the 4th of July show on a Navy Base I lived on went up all at once by accident. It completely destroyed two fire trucks, but thankfully nobody was hurt.
I can tell you, it was one hell of a show, because we were all less than 100 yards away...
Apparently, it was started by a stupid sailor who was detailed to help, and he lit a traffic flare and carelessly dropped the fabric thingie you pull onto the ground while it was smoldering...it caught the grass on fire, then everything went up.
We saw people grabbing huge fireworks and frantically throwing them to the side, and all of a sudden, in unison, they all turned and ran for their lives in every direction. A split second later, the entire thing went off all at once!
IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
...though very short!

In the early 1980s, this happened at a 4th of July fireworks display here. The first rocket went up.....then came down and landed in the middle of the others. It was over in about 60 seconds.
Best fireworks display I’ve ever seen.
