Right before the media light dimmed on birthers, however, birther attorney Orly Taitz made a bit of a splash - at least in the birther community - when she posted a birth certificate purported to be for Obama from the Republic of Kenya and filed a motion in federal court to determine its authenticity...

Here was his three-sentence reply: "It's a forgery. Kenya only became a Republic in December, 1964. Other arguments could also be marshaled, but they are not needed."
Then came a crushing blow. An astute blogger, Steve Eddy of California, did a Google image search and came across an eerily similar-looking birth certificate posted on a genealogy web site by a South Australia man named David Jeffrey Bomford. Eddy put it side-by-side with the Obama one. Same format. Same book and page number in the birth registry. Some of the officials' last names were even the same...
As always, we have no delusions this changes anyone's mind in the birther movement. So please, spare us the vitriolic e-mails. At PolitiFact, we have explored several of the birthers' claims, and have concluded that there is ample evidence that President Obama was born on Hawaii. We simply post this item in case anyone came across the Kenyan birth certificate on the Internet and wondered what to make of it.

And, if anyone is tired of the MSM treating you like a joke and smearing the GOP over this issue, consider striking back in an effective way by helping me point out that the MSM has continually lied and misled about the facts of this matter. For instance, CNN strongly implied that HI's governor had verified that he was born there, when that never happened.
If I could get help from others, we might be able to force CNN into broadcasting a correction, and that would make other news sources who followed CNN's reporting look bad. To help with that, pick up the phone on Monday and get the answers to the questions in the FAX here.
The fact that the MSM has continually lied about this issue is the perfectly valid and completely defensible angle to this whole issue that no one else wants to take advantage of. And, that's despite the fact that you can do that without engaging in any "birther theories". Pushing that angle might encourage the MSM to re-evaluate their past coverage, and they might look into the N.B.C.-related claims. Those who push the N.B.C. issue only have two ways to break into the mainstream: either get a court case, or make the MSM cover the issue and interview legal experts about it. So, those who claim that the cert issue is a red herring aren't helping their cause, since pointing out that the MSM has lied about the cert issue is the best way to get the MSM to look into the N.B.C. issue.

Actually, before the election, Odinga claimed to be Obamas cousin. He stated that his mother is Obama SR’s sister. It was in a British newspaper. Could be. Obama did campaign for Odinga.

Obviosly you are new to birther info. Your statement is incorrect and as it applies to Obama’s mother and laws in effect in 1961, she definately could not convey citizenship to Barry. Also of course it’s not just about the birth certificate. Artcle II, section 1, clause 5, requires the president tp be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN, which is a special type of citizenship. The Kenyan BC was discussed in a long thread over 9,000 posts. I’ll start you near the end and you can go forward or back as you want.

Personally, the Kenyan BC is a distraction. When you take on the mantle of the Presidency, you give up certain expectations such as a normal level of privacy as well as the presumption of innocence one might have outside of bloodsport politics.
obama acts like someone with something to hide and not someone who intended to live up to his promise of transparency.
The office come with extraordinary power, even nuclear power at the President's disposal, but the person who holds that office is supposed to be one of us. I and a significant number of Americans would like some reassurance he is who and what he says he is and once he produces his BC, school records, etc, we can move on.
Barry Soetoro renounced his US Citizenship when he and his mother moved to Indonesia with Lolo Soetoro.
You have to put it into perspective to understand it. Barry had no contact with Barack Sr. and Lolo was the only father he ever knew. Stanley Ann and Barack moved with Lolo to Indonesia thinking it would be for the rest of their lives.
Barry would not have been allowed to attend public school if he was not an Indonesian citizen. Barry enrolled in kindergarten in Hawaii at the age of 5, but soon moved with his mother and his adoptive father to Indonesia.
Barry and his mother appeared before a Counselor Affairs officer at the US Embassy in Jakarta to renounce his US Citizenship because he would not have had access to public school as a dual citizen.
Check Barry Soetoro’s school registration in Indonesia. He was born in Hawaii and an Indonesian citizen.
