A long-suppressed report by the Central Intelligence Agency's inspector general to be released next week reveals that CIA interrogators staged mock executions as part of the agency's post-9/11 program to detain and question terror suspects, NEWSWEEK has learned.
According to two sourcesone who has read a draft of the paper and one who was briefed on itthe report describes how one detainee, suspected USS Cole bomber Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, was threatened with a gun and a power drill during the course of CIA interrogation. According to the sources, who like others quoted in this article asked not to be named while discussing sensitive information, Nashiri's interrogators brandished the gun in an effort to convince him that he was going to be shot. Interrogators also turned on a power drill and held it near him. "The purpose was to scare him into giving [information] up," said one of the sources. A federal law banning the use of torture expressly forbids threatening a detainee with "imminent death."

That’s bothersome... “Mock” execution. Why a mock one? Execute one or two and they’ll fight to get to the front of the line to give up friends/plans/whatever. Then execute one and say his story was made up... this is a good time to clarify the confessions....
All voluntary stuff though. I wouldn't want to do that to some guy you needed to tie down.

Sewing the dead one up in a pigskin in front of the live one wouldn’t hurt either.

You can bet the Scarecrow of the House will have her tighty whiteys in a bunch over this report.
The Democrats and Democrat media behave in real life EXACTLY the way they do in Vince Flynn novels.
They threatened him with a gun. Thats not a mock execution.
Mock executions, ask any Cuban who’s done time, they’ll tell you about mock executions. Threatening to shoot someone if he doesn’t talk, brother, after 911 that would be a promise, not a threat.
Again, just to mark the occasion, we have Democrats giving up classified information during wartime.
Just the sound of a wood chipper would make most sons of allah give up everything including their lunch. ;-)
This article, which relies on statements from unidentified sources, was co-written by Michael Isikoff.
Wasn't it Michael Isikoff who wrote the article falsely claiming that the American military flushed a Koran down the toilet in Guantanamo? Didn't that story end up getting people killed by Islamist fanatics?
So, tell me again, why should I believe any of the allegations in the article? And, how many people are going to be murdered by Islamist fanatics as a result of this article?
I have a hub drill that was used to drive a hole into a piece of wood that would then be turned on a hub lathe.
Now that's a drill!
Too bad they were “mock”. Should have been real ones.
Now that’s a drill!
Indeed!
Check the url of my posted image...it’s the other half of the joke.
Sort of like Lubyanka being situated across from Children’s World in Moscow.
That’s ALL ??? What a WASTE of good talent... we need several REAL Executions... I can think of several Congressmen You could START WITH.
Oh, the “inhumanity” of this - unlike say, the genuine executions of Daniel Pearl, the airmen in Black Hawk Down or our men dragged through the streets of Iraq.
**Sewing the dead one up in a pigskin in front of the live one wouldnt hurt either.**
Especially after making them watch the skinning of the still moving pig. 1 pig to EFF up the day of several Muzzies... Small price to pay... or put it to use and Barbeque it for the troops.
