State jobless rate at all-time worst

California led the nation in job losses in July, while a third of the nation showed decreases in unemployment for the month.

California lost 35,800 jobs, the U.S. Labor Department said Friday, to boost its unemployment rate to 11.9 percent, a mark unequalled since modern labor record-keeping began.

The new numbers bring California's total job losses to 760,200 over the last year. If there is good news, it is that the rate of job losses slowed for a second straight month. July's job losses were barely half those in May.

While all 50 states and the District of Columbia show higher unemployment than a year ago, more lately the job market has shown signs of a slight recovery in some. The Labor Department said 17 states and Washington, D.C., showed decreases in unemployment in July, up from just five in June.

Seven states showed no change; the other 26 showed increasing unemployment. California was one of four reaching a record rate of joblessness.

The NEW ballad of Jed Clampett
Come and listen to a story 'bout a man named Jed Poor oil entrepreneur barely kept his family fed Then one day he was working for some food, And up through the crowd come a bumbling fool (Arnold that is, RINO gold, more taxes please)
Well the first thing you know old Jed's taxes are to much to bear, Kin folk said Jed move away from there! Said California is no place for you to be So they loaded up the truck and they moved from Beverly (go’n back to the Hills they are, fish’n holes, country and western stars)

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Jed and all his kin They would like to thank you folks for kindly dropping in You're all invited back again to their new locality To have a heaping helping of their hospitality (Redneck Hillbillies, is what the press call 'em now, Clingers of bibles and guns and to Obama no bow! Nice folks Y'all come back now, ya hear?)

When the immigration tussle was going on a while back, the La Raza types were saying that we needed the “immigrants” because the unemployment rate was so low.

It has taken a concerted effort by the politicians to destroy the economy of CA. Between the illegals, govt regulations, taxes, unions, overpaid bureacrats they have succeeded.
Will it every really recover..doubt it.

So much for that free-traitor theory! Yet some still insist mass legal/illegal immigration will save us. All they did was turn us into Mexico.

My tumor grew 2 centimeters in July but only 1.5 centimeters in August. Guess I won't need that surgery after all.

And just wait for the unions to seize control of small and large businesses under the “Stalinist Workers Act.” Then we will see a real disaster on our hands!

Our unemployment rate here in MI actually dropped 1/10 of 1 percent last month for the first time in forever.

Why? Increase in nurses, lab tests, hotels, etc. due to Canadians coming over for medical treatment.

State jobless rate at all-time

Yet a majority of California voters, clueless as always, will fail to recognize cause and effect and will continue to vote for the Democrats who got them into this mess.
