Legal to own “personal use” sizes of drugs, while offering free detox and care from the gov’t? Add on top of that dealers with their own “personal use” sizes of drugs and “gifting” them to others while those others “gift” the dealers money, guns and sex... seems like an endless cycle and a money pit... especially with the free gov’t kickbacks.

Gen McCaffery wrote in a report to the Dept of Defense and the White House that Mexico was in danger of descending in anarchy as a Narco-Terrorist state.
It has already begun, and this is surrender.

That's just what Mexico needs to cut their crime rate.If they legalize the production, possession and distribution of less than ten tons of heroin, cocaine and marijuana their crime rate will drop by 95%.
To: SolidWood
Is it now legal to sale that amount?

I wonder if this applies to non-citizens? I would think it does but with Mexico you never know. If it is legal to have and use drugs in Mexico maybe we will see a migration of our drug addicts to Mexico~ ha ha that would be poetic justice.

Before all you ‘moral authoritarians’ go off the deep end, consider this.
Drug Decriminalization in Portugal:
Lessons for Creating Fair and Successful Drug Policies
“...more than seven years have now elapsed since enactment of Portugal’s decriminalization system, there are ample data enabling its effects to be assessed.
...none of the nightmare scenarios touted by preenactment decriminalization opponents from rampant increases in drug usage among the young to the transformation of Lisbon into a haven for “drug tourists” has occurred.”

UNREAL.
now just as in europe, they will lose a generation to drug abuse.
Instead of taking the battle head on and stopping it, they act like a parent who catches their kids smoking then just buy cigarettes for them

They have to do this as their current “pressure release valve” known as the USA is approaching bankruptcy. This is nothing but a move to ensure that corrupt political class in Mexico City stay in power.

Mexico leads the way - a small but significant positive first step. Hopefully they will next legalize production as well.
We should follow their example. A free republic has no proper role in interfering with consensual acts.
