As each day passes and President Barack Obama's health care proposal faces more and more opposition, some of the talking heads that appear on the cable news networks are looking for a "boogeyman" to blame for allegedly ginning up backlash. And that "boogeyman" has been conservative talk radio.
However, if recent history is any indication, there could be an effort to take silence conservative talk radio.
Some of the circumstances surrounding the current debate on "reforming" health care are eerily familiar to the 2007 bipartisan effort to "reform" immigration. In fact, the last big policy issue that was defeated when an upset constituency pushed back was the bipartisan 2007 effort to reform immigration.

At each of these news outlets, Karl Marx is a far right winger.
I began to question that last November but these days my hope is restored.
Love the image of the French Underground and their homemade radios!
“Its already there under the covers of diversity and ‘localism.’”
Localism will be the one. ACORN will infiltrate the community groups making decisions and it’ll be all over for talk radio. They don’t need to call on the Fairness Doctrine; it’ll be more subtle but just as deadly.
Obama defense of his health care plan exposes his Isflamist roots.
Obama is a Grand Wallah of Isflam. What he says is flam.
Yes. And since we’re aware of that, we have to fight it on that ground. I don’t know how an appeal to localism can hold any water. In a major market like Chicago, we have literally every kind of programming imaginable. It’s not all on one station, but that would be impossible. All you have to do is tune in to the station of your choice, and you’ve got what you want. Moreover, the reason why the diversity exists because the audience supports it. There is plenty of local content on most stations. Very few offer only syndicated programming. There is similar divesity in smaller markets, and even out in the small towns, most are within the signal range of the stations in the big cities. You’d have to be in a pretty remote location not to have access to localism and diversity in proramming.
As Our President is fond of saying, “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” If they force this pig on us, then I think we are close to a situation described in the first few paragraphs of the Declaration (if we’re not there already.) We’ve come to a pretty sad point when the government of the United States, which according to its rhetoric is the vanguard and protector of freedom, starts doing everything it can to stamp freedom out.
....In other words, we will more likely then not see a new revolution as a result.
Look for both satilite and internet radio to take off bigtime in regards to conservative talk.
Well, I do my part in unexpected ways.
Just the other day, I went to the library to return some CD’s and get a few more. Instead of requesting them online I decided to retrieve them myself. I usually have them pull what I want and they'll call when it is ready. I figure, I'll let them work for me and minimize my contact with the liberalness of them all.
Anyway, on the way in, to my left was a table with two women in their late 50’s as the “mobile unit”, for Loutenberger. I cringed but went about my business. On the way out I noticed two men have a lively debate. As I neared them, I heard the gist of it. To my left were the Loutenberg whores. As it turned out the one man, probably from Europe ... he had a heavy accent was trying to explain why Obama and Demoncrats were bad.
Well, I couldn't resist. In the lobby, I waited in front of them till the rational guy finished his sentence. I then said, “THANK YOU!!” to him and proceeded to vent, calmly and boldy so others could hear what I though about the debt, health care and why it was unConstitutional and how badly the government handled social security, Medicare, Medicaid and now we should turn over 1/5 of our economy to the government would be irrational. Then I turned to the two air heads and raised my voice more turned towards the two Demoncrats and raised my voice more. I said, Look at these tow empty headed women. Loutenberg who couldn't debate a person if his life depended upon it hides behind silly women. They should be ashamed of themselves but no, they have no shame. Coming to a library, where kids come and advocate abortion, bigger government and sing the praises of NJ state debt and national debt is what he has them peddle to any moron what will listen. I'm paraphrasing what I said.
I thanked the other man again and said to the other one, don't be fooled. This gentleman is trying to help you understand what is going on.
After that I went to my car and shook with rage. I wanted to say so much more. Oh, the idiot thought Obama wasn't so bad ... I corrected him. I offered to show him on youtube where Obama campaigned on SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE with the government. He declined my offer but tried to tell me it's just other Democrats that want this; not Obama.
I do what I an where ever I can.
it’s very possible it would happen but what’s more important is this imho: People will be so caught up in HealthCare debate that they won’t see Immigration Reform coming and it will be rahmed down our throats. Be Alert!

Also education reform is on the radar screen as well as changing how Freddie and Fannie are structured. This guy is such an evil weasel.
He’s also appealing to “Christians”, you know the confused humanists, by saying that the “poor” also need health care and we should not deny them needed care. We need to “care” about our people. GEESH! Why can’t we have a real Christian stand up to him on this.
Ah, I’ve got an idea, why doesn’t OBAMA give the MILLIONS he got from foreign countries when he was running for President to them so they can buy their own health care?
One would hope. When the government sets off to dismantle the Bill of Rights, that has to be the deal-breaker.
