Health care- What is all the fuss about?

The recent rash of very highly-publicized angry outbursts at town hall-style meetings across the country have shoved the debate about health care reform into a brand new arena. The discussion has become personal, including claims that protestors are brandishing "swastikas and symbols like that" and that the heated style of debate is "un-American."

Democrats even claim that the crowds are Republican shills rather than a truly engaged electorate. How much would the Republicans have to pay somebody to become that passionate? To risk jail?

The argument does not make sense.

In fact, no part of this argument makes sense anymore. The members of the electorate at these town halls are too impassioned to effectively articulate where that passion is coming from, so they resort to yelling. The politicians are too busy playing defense to construct a meaningful offensive strategy, so they resort to name calling.

Lost somewhere amidst all this energy is clear direction. Headlines last week talked about President Barack Obama's new strategy for selling "ObamaCare" to the people, a reaction to the Titanic-like sinking of public support for the plan. But that assumes the problem with health care reform is a lack of understanding of the current proposal - it assumes the problem is with the sales pitch.

The problem with the current health care reform proposal is not with the pitch, it is with the product. The American people simply are not buying it.

As countless college marketing students will begin learning this year, the most effective way to market a product is as the cost-effective solution to somebody's problem. Flying in the face of that logic, this reform package seems to go well out of its way to not solve any actual problems within the health care industry. As an added bonus, it even creates a few brand new problems.

But none of that actually matters, because the debate and the passion and the anger no longer have anything to do with health care. It has moved beyond that - way beyond that, in fact.

The fundamental argument right now is not about how much health care we need, but rather about how much government we need. In a different time and place, this debate might go very differently.

But on the heels of General Motors and Chrysler, AIG and Citigroup, very reasonable people are very reasonably terrified that government is going way too far in controlling our private capitalist system. Throw in a couple hot-button issues like abortion and choice of care and suddenly health care is not health care anymore - it is the final stance in defense of a way of life.

The people coming to these town hall meetings are angry. They are impassioned. They even are scared. Seniors are scared that they will lose Medicare. The nine out of 10 insured Americans who get their health coverage through employers are worried that they will lose that coverage. People are scared that they will lose their choice of doctors, their choice of treatments, even their choice of how hard to fight to stay alive.

But mostly, people are angry that the government is trying to control too much. They are starting to feel crushed by the weight of Uncle Sam on their back. Health reform is simply the proverbial last straw that is breaking the back of the American taxpayer.

Are these people un-American? Absolutely not. They are patriots - and they want their country back.

The problem is not the health system.
It is the legal system.

The legal system in America is broken. Costs are rising at an unacceptable rate.
Laywers eagerly help rapists, terrorists, murderers, selected tax-cheaters like the IRS head .. and ignore regular Americans.
Their black robed partners in crime release them all without any accountability.
Too many people feel trapped by legal decisions and lack of access to honest lawyers.
And 300 million Americans worry what will happen to them or their children if they need a lawyer.
Lawyers run the White House, Senate and Congress, and are proven greedy, stupid,
and ignore any law in their own way.

Lawyers are responsible for the entire mess of America (retreat from the War on Terror,
retreat from space, retreat from Democracy, retreat from normal education,
retreat from the greatest health system Earth has ever known,
retreat from safety of Americans, and retreat from logic, retreat from the US Constitution).
Lawyers designed the "health" program (the 'pyramid of food') that led to American obesity. No accountability.
Lawyers have instituted taking private property ... from all non lawyers.
Lawyers have instituted breaking contracts nunc pro tunc ... for all non lawyers.
Lawyers have instituted neoslavery for ... all non lawyers.
Lawyers have screwed up the ROE, to help their friends, terrorists and America's enemies (no surprise there). No accountability.
Lawyers make sure no one will never see the undocumented Pres_ _ent's BC.
Lawyers make certain white voters will henceforth be physically beaten in all further US elections. No accountability.
Lawyers tirelessly work to make Americans sick, weak, defeated, and vulnerable.
Lawyers and judges (lawyers as tin gods in black robes) use ex parte meetings, perjury,
secret relationships, 'rubber stamping', and violate their 'code of ethics', any time they want to. No accountability.

Yes, lawyers are here to give terrorists the complete, utter destruction of America, its law, its freedom, and its people.
