Folks, the only link to this story is a small local blog, where a casual remark that was posted at my website in a discussion about the Townhall meeting US Representative Brian Baird (D. Vancouver WA) that was held last night here in Southwest Washington.
Quote
Baird's at it again. This afternoon, at the Rotary Club he said, "if there is a Ryder truck parked out front, it has my name on it."
So much for his "sincere apology" to us all.
Sorry Brian, but we've already heard the "botched joke" excuse.
UNQUOTE
The answer is because Brian Baird is a Democrat first and foremost.
If there is in fact any indication (and there is NOT!) of any kind that there is that kind of activity going on, Brian Baird has a responsibility to report it to Law Enforcement, not make jokes about it.
In reality, if there is any threat to Baird it is from the nutjob Lyndon LaRouch fanatics that are haunting Congressional Townhalls across the Country.
For the life of me, I have never been able to fathom the attraction to LaRouch. The last I heard he was still a federal prisoner, and why anyone listens to an unhappey convicted criminal wack job who is writing his hateful manifestos from his Federal Prison cell is beyond me. The one severely misguided individual with the Obama as Hitler LaRouch sign could not have been much older than 25, and it just makes me shake my head that people that young are that misguided.
But they are the real threat to Baird. Not Southwest Washington residents, whether they be Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Jew or Gentile. Somehow that principle seems to be lost on Brian Baird, and the local AP Repeater Service will give him a complete pass.
If I don't bring this up here at FR, this story will never see the light of day in the local media. This is the kind of two-faced 'Rat crap that we have to put up with here in Southwest Washington because the local print, television and radio media gives Brian Baird a pass on this stuff every single time.
Things like this push me right to the edge of profanity...
Ryder needs to sue his goatsmellin’ ass.
These arrogant schmucks are giving the voters plenty of reason to vote them out of office. LOL
“What in the name of God possesses anyone to make any kind of joke about a terrorist attack on US soil that killed so many people as Oklahoma City did?”
Possesses? Good choice of words.
All leftist thought, from the limousine liberalism of a George Clooney to the mass murders of Mao, Stalin, or Pol Pot, is of and from Satan. It is a contaminant in the human cognosphere, not a natural component of it.
The longer people are leftists, the further they’re drawn into it, the worse they become. The time is long past when one could be both a committed Democrat and a decent person.
The muslims on 9/11 part one used a ryder truck. Their leader of their party prattles on how he loves the sound of muslims prayers in indonesia and who still refuses to disclose the passport he used to go to Pakistan.
“Ryder needs to sue his goatsmellin ass.”
That’s not a bad idea...

Subject: Democrat Brian Baird to SW Washington Rotary: “Seen a Ryder truck with my name on it??”
Mr. Bruce;
As Vice President of Ryder Corporate Communications, I think it is important to bring to your attention, a statement that US Representative Brian Baird made during a speech to the Vancouver, Washington Rotary Club today, August 19, 2009.
During that speech Representative Baird joked:
“If there is a Ryder truck parked out front, it has my name on it.”
There are people here locally who attended that speech and can attest to those disgusting words by Representative Baird.
Mr. Bruce, as a resident of Brian Baird’s 3rd Congressional District, I want to apologise to Ryder on behalf of my elected Representative. I assure you I never gave him my permission via my vote to defame your Company, or to joke about as serious and deadly an incident as the Oklahoma City terrorist bombing was. It sickens me that any elected representative in this Country would choose that topic to attempt to make a joke.
I assure you I am doing everything in my power as a private Citizen and a concerned voter to take my US Representative to task about his crude remarks, and I urge you to do the same. Please contact Representative Baird and demand that he retract his cruel remarks about your company and his constituents here in Southwest Washington.

The Zero’s best buddy Ayers is a REAL bomber. How ironic is that?
Let’s keep reminding our Dem friends.
He sent out a press release on it,
BAIRD DOES IT AGAIN!
Congressman Brian Baird reverted back to making the same comparisons and comments today that he apologized for last week. Baird was the guest speaker at the Downtown Rotary Club on Wednesday where he was quoted to say if there is a Ryder truck parked out front, it has my name on it.(emphasis added)
Clark County Republican Party Chairman Ryan Hart said he received a call from an individual who attended the meeting informing him of the comment. I called several other people who attended the meeting and they all confirmed that Baird made the remarks.
Bairds remarks were a reference to domestic terrorist Timothy McVeigh. This is just unbelievable, Hart said. You would think he would have learned a lesson or two over the past two weeks, he added.
Hart said the comparison linking critics of the Democrats health care reform proposals to domestic terrorists makes one doubt the sincerity of his Bairds apology.
Numerous attempts to place it on the local newspaper site in comments under articles on Brian Baird failed, for some reason.
Other comments I made after trying were accepted.
“there was some precedent, and it ended badly...”
LOL!
Awfully close to a terrorist threat there.
yah...the local AP redistribution facility is continuing their Baird-Fest this morning, and are completely ignoring this incident.
Don’t feel bad about not being able to post this at the columbian, I’ve been banned over there for months.
The Columbian may block acknowledgment of it being said, but word has gone out to several others.
This has happened to several others over time and always, the Columbian says they do not censor.
And they wonder their circulation is down and they are in bankruptcy.
What really fries me Dakota is that their reporter was at that meeting, witnessed what Baird said, and then wrote an extensive puff-piece story about that meeting and ignored the sick joke Baird led off with.
Let’s hope that some of the National media picks up on this and soon!
Hannity?? Rush?? Mark Levin?? Victoria Taft?? Lars Larsen?? Sound Politics??
Beuller....??...Beuller...??
Victoria Taft spoke of it last evening on her show. I also sent it to Michelle Malkin and Rush Limbaugh.
This morning I was able to post links to my blog post on it under two articles.
We’ll see if they stay showing.
Lying dhimmicrat (oxymoron, I know!) gratuitousness cheap-shot alert...
For what it’s worth, I checked out the comments at the columbian story and there were a bunch that pointed out the Ryder truck quip.
Unfortunately that moron “pudge” at Soundpolitics is more interested in trying to look like Bill O’Reilly than to highlight articles of interest to conservatives - on a conservative discussion site.
Try Ron Hebron or Jim Miller - they are more reasonable guys...
For what it’s worth, the reader comments are the only way this story will appear in the columbian. And it depends on who the poster is.
DakotaRed tried six times to post this material there and their system would not take it. They’ve done the same thing to me and many others over there. Anyone who has Admin access to any website knows exactly what kind of games you can play if you really want to. Restricting the number of characters that particular posters can put up at one time is a frequent tool the columbian uses.
I’m not welcome there so I don’t go. I do not put up with trolls or trollish behavior at my website, and I refuse to go where I am not welcome and impose trollish behavior on another site**. In addition, the columbian has threatened to sue me twice for “unfair competition” so on advice of council I mention them as little as possible. I don’t even capitalize their name....
A word on letters to the Editor.
The columbian’s letter policy restricts you to one letter of no more than 150 words, no more than every 30 days. there is no guarantee that they will ever publish a letter and in fact they frequently ignore letters that offer criticism of the paper or it’s policies. Some of that is understandable or they would be spammed with letters from one guy. But when one guy points out that they are naked, and they withhold that letter, we have a different matter...
In any case, I have no motivation whatsoever to do anything that puts more money in their pockets. I do have motivation to bring down as much scorn on them as I can when they commit Journalistic Malpractice like they did on this story, and the other pieces they have published in an attempt to give Baird cover by casting accusations against the locals.
** The Admin Mods will no doubt dispute that claim of mine, considering some of the obnoxious visual agitprop I post at FR. (I still think that “Find Nancy Pelosi” pic is screamingly funny, but that’s just me...) Dark humor is not necessarily “trollish”, but when the Mods pull an obnoxious pic it’s clear I’m bumping the limit switch...
I’m really quite ashamed....honest!!
