Was the IZ hit just outside the south entrance? Im trying to remember where the various ministry buildings are. I was at the Ministry of Finance once in 2007 when I was working with the Ministry of Interior (in the Rusafa District.) My sense of direction is awful, but I remember it was near the Parliament building.
Some mortars also landed inside the IZ this morning.
It certainly smells like AQI.

That's not the point. Our sons FREED these dear people, and you are a callous fool for not caring if they die.
I'm with armymarinemom. What she said.

Carter is a perfect example of what disaster and misery a single arrogant fool can wreak upon the world. The blood of more than a million souls is arguably on the hands of this man and his fellow creatures.

“these dear people”
I don’t view them as “these dear people”, maybe the Kurds, yes. But the rest of them basically hate American’s guts, unless they are on the receiving end of a paycheck from us.

You're an ignorant troll. You take the word of the leftist anti-American propagandists against the word of those who've been there and worked with the people.
Back to DU, Huffpo, or wherever you came from, troll.
You've made your point...........badly.

My sister is Allegra. She just left visiting me in England yesterday and is in Jordan right now, awaiting arrival in Baghdad tomorrow...I hope they delay her going back in for the time being...

Oh dear, prayers for those involved. I think Obambi pulled the troops out too soon. I know there is an agreement, but hopefully they will allow our troops to come in and help.

Steven, I probably can't change your mind here at FR but I suggest you read the book by Iraqi General Georges Sada, called Saddam's Secrets and see what an Iraqi insider has to say about Saddam Hussein and the conditions of Iraq under him and now under free rule.
And by the way, I'm less than five minutes from that blast sight right now here in Baghdad Iraq, so if you have the courage of you convictions, come join me here and see what the mainstream media wont report.

I don’t have to visit you in Baghdad. I just need to read Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s speeches. By the way, did you know that Maliki is a supporter of Hezbollah?

How much are you getting paid to post here or are you a volunteer?
To: steven33442
What I do know is that the Iraqi people are basically good people and want nothing more than to live freely in peace. There are a few elements here that would like nothing more than to see Iraq fall back into the oppressed ways of the past.
They were basically a free monarchy with ties to Britian and the US until July 17th 1968. Since then its been opression and fear.
We brave few can not change that overnight but that does not stop us from trying.
