Egypt's Mubarak: Obama on the Side of Islam
Associated Press ^ | August 18, 2009

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama won lavish praise from his Egyptian counterpart on Tuesday and spoke of an "extraordinary opportunity" for making peace in the Middle East, saying he was encouraged by U.S. efforts to restart talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

Seated next to President Hosni Mubarak, who was making his first visit to the U.S. capital in five years, Obama thanked his Egyptian counterpart for joining him in trying to construct a deal that has eluded world leaders for more than six decades.

Returning the compliment, Mubarak asserted that Obama's speech to the Muslim world — delivered in Cairo earlier this summer — had convinced Arabs the United States truly was an honest broker.

“convinced Arabs the United States truly was an honest broker” (because of obamanation speech).

IMO
SHOULD BE:

“convinced Arabs the United States’ president truly was a MUSLIM broker, therefore, dishonest to the core.

"Mubarak looked robust"

Must the word "robust" be used in every story about "zero"?

So which side of the Sunni/Shiite divide does he fall? That is at least as important a question as the Israeli/Muslim debate and just as deadly.

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

-- Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 [London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899]).

Wow. Except for the part about agriculture, that just about describes your average everyday typical inner city.

Coincidence?

The most deceptive, personal history concealing President in living memory edges out of his Islamic closet.

Well; 'they' get it as do many of 'us'. Meantime; bet Obama fantasizes privately about that 'Mahdi' Islamists of the world, redeemer position; that has yet to be filled.

We know Obama has a gift; because he reminds us often; that he does. . .and spiritual gifts as well. He should have no trouble believing he is no longer 'this one' messiah; but rather 'that' Mahdi one. Just give him time. . .

. . .oh, and yes, ‘that one’ is supposed to be the ‘anti-Christ’ - and it is here; that Obama’s story starts to feel familiar.

We could test that theory.

Let’s throw his azz in a well and see if he can come flying out of it.
