I understand that the bill won’t really kick in until 2013. And if he gets a second term he will really start doing what he wants. Scary. That’s criminal. In other words, the American people are saying no, protesting at town halls, somrhing most of them never did in their lives. And Obama says “too damn bad”.
Legislation is purely a Congressional prerogative. They may take advice from outside, but Congress owns what Congress passes.

this country is starting to look like Hondurous....Yikes.
The plan starts in 2013 but the TAXES start in 2011. That is why in the early years the costs look contained. Well duh, no benefits but plenty of taxes. Those taxes will be a jobs killer so I doubt an economic recovery which will be difficult to run on for the One in 2012

That’s why the next step in their plan is to grant citizenship to illegal aliens. Then in 2012 they will bombard the airwaves with ad campaigns saying “the Republicans will prevent you from getting free healthcare”!
My understanding is along those same lines, with the exception of the Medicare cuts. Unfortunately for the elderly, those cuts kick in immediately.
