Democrats see little chance for GOP cooperation on health care

WASHINGTON — Given hardening Republican opposition to congressional health care proposals, Democrats now say they see little chance for the minority's cooperation in approving any overhaul, and are increasingly focused on drawing support for a final plan from within their own ranks.
Top Democrats said Tuesday that their go-it-alone view was being shaped by what they saw as Republicans' purposely strident tone against health care legislation during this month's congressional recess, as well as remarks by leading Republicans that current proposals were flawed beyond repair.
The White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said of Republican lawmakers, "Only a handful seem interested in the type of comprehensive reform that so many people believe is necessary to ensure the principles and the goals that the president has laid out."
The Democratic shift may not make producing a final bill much easier. The party must still reconcile the views of moderate and conservative Democrats worried about the cost and scope of the legislation with those of more progressive lawmakers determined to win a government-run insurance option to compete with private insurers..........

Pelosi and her ilk are members of the DSA, and then there are about 60 members of the "Progressives" who are heading in the same direction! All I know for sure is that we need to expose them and toss them out of our government.
My understanding is along those same lines, with the exception of the Medicare cuts. Unfortunately for the elderly, those cuts kick in immediately.

4. Obama takes over energy. Almost done. Cap and Trade.
5. Obama takes over health care. In progress.
6. Obama takes over private market employment compensation. In progress. CEO compensation — maximum wage to follow.
7. Obama passes amnesty for illegals, opening the borders to all. Next up.
9. Obama weakens the military, killing advanced weaponry projects and leaking secrets to enemies.
10. Obama releases birth certificate, admits not natural born, says “What are you going to do about it now!” Takes over country.
WHERE DO WE DRAW THE LINE IN THE SAND? 4? 5? NOW!

Let’s see. There are how many in our government? and how many people in the US? If over 300 MILLION allows about 500+ to destroy our country, we deserve what we get.

Seriously, he’s claiming there is not ‘public option’ for the poor when we have medicaid.
The people who have trouble getting health insurance are those with pre-existing conditions who dont qualify for medicaid. Either put them in medicaid or force insurance companies to accept people with preexisting conditions.
Secession should be a last resort. We shouldn’t leave the greatest country in the world; we should throw them out of it!

I tend to disagree. The divide and growing hatred are too great. Eventually there will be a civil war, there is no question about it. Dividing the country might not be a bad idea to insure it’s survival.
