I am going to have to retract my speculation that he became anti-Israel because of conversion.

Looking at the timeline, he was anti-Israel for a long period of antipathy, and THEN converted.

For my speculation to work, the conversion would have to be from antipathy and not the other way around.

That’s possible, I guess, but not as likely.

Robert Novak should rot in hell - he hated America, Jews and Israel and was an apologist for Hamas, Hezbollah and pan-Islamism. I hate evil regardless of where it comes from. I will not praise someone who was a Prince Of Darkness. My affection for principle and the truth know no ideological bounds. His life's work is one of evil, inhumanity and intolerance towards his fellow man. See my quote.
