Bob Novak hired me away from HUMAN EVENTS in late 2001. Poaching, HE Editor-in-Chief Tom Winter called it. I was not the first early-20s reporter Novak would pluck from HEs newsroom. Nor would I be the last.

Prayers for his loved ones.
Can't forget that Bob held Scooter Libby, Cheney and the Bush Administration out to dry for oh so long. We'll need the historians to tell us how much that distraction and the associated media frenzy led to the RAT takeover.

For me, he was at his very best debating that old sourpuss Tom Braden on Crossfire back in the 80’s.

I always enjoyed him on The McLaughlin Group. Me too. Jack Germond said that McLaughlin grew jealous of Novak and started screaming at him during a break in the show one time. Novak left and started Crossfire.
To: Corin Stormhands
I always loved Robert Novak.
I was thinking about him yesterday and again today when I awoke this morning.
Now I know why.
He need not worry about meeting Ted Kennedy in heaven shortly.
To: Corin Stormhands
He's had cancer for a couple of years, brain cancer I believe.
It's sad. Novak was a class act and always had the courage of his convictions. You look at people like him and then at the talking heads on CNN and FOX and MSNBC and you have to fear for the future of journalism.
