PHOENIX (Aug. 17) - About a dozen people carrying guns, including one with a military-style rifle, milled among protesters outside the convention center where President Barack Obama was giving a speech Monday — the latest incident in which protesters have openly displayed firearms near the president. Gun-rights advocates say they're exercising their constitutional right to bear arms and protest, while those who argue for more gun control say it could be a disaster waiting to happen.
Phoenix police said the gun-toters at Monday's event, including the man carrying an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, didn't need permits. No crimes were committed, and no one was arrested. The man with the rifle declined to be identified but told The Arizona Republic that he was carrying the assault weapon because he could. "In Arizona, I still have some freedoms," he said. Phoenix police Detective J. Oliver, who monitored the man at the downtown protest, said police also wanted to make sure no one decided to harm him.

To boot, he does no have a thumb strap on that sidearm holster, which, in a large crowd, should be a minimum safety consideration.
I’m particularly fond of the fact that AR has a collapsible stock, hi-cap mag, and it appears to have a flash suppressor or something on the muzzle... all things demonized by the left as constituting an “assault weapon.”
Good for him being a black man toting a gun, and despite his politics, he is permitted to tote whatever he wants. It is STILL a free country.

Prolly thinks he can scare some “righties” out of an aggressive pro-2nd stance. May not even be ammo in the gun.

Uh, WHAT!! So the cop was concerned that some bright bulb might go up to the guy with the rifle over his shoulder and the gun strapped to his waist and DO HIM INJURY??!! Now THAT’S funny! The cops time might have been better spent protecting the UNARMED people from ACORN/UNION thugs!
If he is on own side why can he be seen in the video shouting “health care now”?

Thats only what it appears. We can’t actually hear what he said. He, however, was there with a dozen members of the Arizona Shooters board to protest Zer0. He has been identified as Chris B by members of that board. If you see the gent with the bullhorn on the sidewalk near him, you will see that he has the Obama Joker face on the back of his head. So the protestors were intermingled.
