It's time to flex our muscle and show these corporations who is really in the boat and rowing.
Procter & Gamble,
I am writing to thank you for pulling your advertisement dollars from The Glenn Beck Show. If your company had not chosen to acquiesce to a racist, black nationalist group, I might never have realized how much money I could be saving by not buying P&G products. Your decision to pull your advertising dollars from a show that consistently speaks the truth and tries to inform the American people showed me the contempt that Procter & Gamble has for the Constitution of the United States, the First Amendment, and for the people who defend both. I will not do business with a company that has so little regard for the freedoms we enjoy in America.
Yesterday, while shopping at Target I substituted the P&G products on my shopping list with a notation of the savings. The results:
P&G Product-----------------Alternative---------------Savings
Cascade-75oz/3.99-------Up&Up-75oz/2.89-----------1.10
Dawn-24oz/2.49----------Up&Up-25oz/1.49-----------1.10
Bounce-120/4.99---------Up&Up-120/3.49------------1.50
Tide-64loads/13.99------All-64loads/8.99-------------5.00
Charmin-12rolls/7.59----Angel Soft-12rolls/5.99-----9.11 ***250.5 sq ft---vs---501sq ft (double the sq ft!)
Puffs-3box/5.39---------Kleenex-3box/4.49------------.90
Venus-3ct/6.59----------Noxema-4ct/2.69---------------6.10
Pantene-25.4oz/5.49-----Suave-22.5oz/1.34-----------3.98
Glide-54.7yd/3.54-------Reach-55yd/1.02-------------2.54
Iams-17.5lbs/18.79------Pedigree-20lbs/12.39--------9.08
TOTAL SAVINGS: $40.41
Ounce for ounce, pound for pound, yard for yard, and razor for razor, I saved $40.41 during one shopping trip alone!
I also just purchased a Swiffer like duster that can be laundered, so I will no longer have to pay $8.49 for a box of 10 Swiffer refills. After reading a review which rated Costco batteries as lasting longer than Duracell, I'll be purchasing those in the future for real savings. Costco also carries my new favorite paper towel, Brawny, at great savings over Bounty. Camay and Ivory soap are off my list, while Dove is on. I never realized how many Procter & Gamble products I was buying until now and how much of my family's income was being wasted.
Other shoppers couldn't help but notice as I was walking down the aisles with calculator and list of P&G products in hand and asked me what I was so excited about. I guess screams of joy over a $9.11 savings on toilet paper are seldom heard in Target. After explaining to them my savings, every one of them asked me to e-mail them with the P&G product list and the substitutions I would recommend. I now have a dozen new friends after they pulled the Tide and Charmin out of their carts and replaced them with All and Angel Soft. Most of us are so busy working hard trying to make a better life for our families that we just buy the products that our mothers bought without ever really scrutinizing the quantity and price. I guess that is what Procter & Gamble relies on. Maybe it is time to start rethinking your business model.
Former P&G customer
My DH is a P&G retiree and I worked there 15 years - I called them Friday and told them, as a former employee and a current shareholder, I am disappointed in their decision. I also told them I will no longer purchase any P&G products.
That’s proactive and sensible. May you reap many times the rewards of your wisdom.
I think you should send your list to Glen Beck.
Awesome!!!
Not likely many of the Leftwingtards buy soap or soap-like products anyway.
Good for you!!!!! :)

Great letter and thanks for the tips. You can save a lot of money.
Dear Mr. blam,
We appreciate your sharing your concerns about our advertising. Our organization remains true to its mid-western roots and values. Some would say that means were conservative. In the end, we hold true to our nations heritage that values free expression of varying political opinions. We advertise on Fox News, however, we felt Glen Beck went too far when he suggested poisoning someone with whom he disagrees. Rhetoric that reflects action that would result in death of someone is never acceptable to us. Therefore, we have advised our advertising agency that they should reallocate our Fox News buy among other Fox News programs.
Our wish overall is to move beyond the conversation about politics and focus on our primary mission to bring consumers great cheese products. We do not want to be associated with inflammatory speech used by either liberal or conservative talk show hosts. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your views with us.

Excellent!! Thank You.
PING to the GLENN BECK TV THREAD.
Feel free to copy my letter to P&G and email it to everyone on your mailing list who might not be aware of the savings they can enjoy while waking up corporate America to the real power of the people.
I called P&G today and asked them if they pulled their ads from Glenn Beck’s show and they said no. Also I called State Farm because I was going to cancel my policies and they said they never intended to advertise on his show and Fox ran them in error. Sargento did say they pulled their ads because of the poison comment. Can anyone verify that P&G and State Farm did pull their ads ?
Thanks for the list. I’ll be using it.
