An 11-year-old girl has cheated death with a dive worthy a movie stuntman - jumping out of a car moments before it plunged off the side of a cliff.
Paige Dean was listening to music in the car at a campsite in Kinmel Bay near Rhyl, Denbighshire, when she accidentally knocked the handbrake off.
Frantically, she repeatedly tried to pull up the lever as the car veered towards the cliff face but she was unable to lock the wheels.
As the vehicle came within a few feet of the edge she managed to dive out of the car and roll to safety.
First to the scene was Dave Massey, a paramedic and RNLI volunteer.
He said: "It is a miracle she survived and that she had the presence of mind to jump out at the last second.
"There is no doubt that she would never have survived that fall. The vehicle plummeted down the sheer drop and crashed into rocks before being submerged in water.

Lucky kid.
That’s gonna make a strange accident report to their insurance company.
We need video for conformation of story.
***Pictures can be photo shopped ya-know.***

Wow!
Wow! She’s very blessed to be alive! I bet she won’t do that again. :)
Now that is something school doesn’t teach. Good for her. I see a strong life in her future.
Who’s car was it?
If it had been me, at her age, and if it had been my father’s car, I would have probably been better off going over the cliff in it.
Come On. Is the world that bad? She is safe.
From the picture the car just needs a little body work.
Rhyl, Denbighshire is at the NE corner of Wales, just about due west of Liverpool (for the geographically curious). Beautiful country and from the picture beautiful children too - if somewhat unthinking in where they kick.
Most of it will probably just buff right out.
Was she alone? Who called the Paramedics? Nobody who was there was the first to the scene. Did they let her lie there while waiting for the ambulance?

Perhaps Mr. Massey was a witness, perhaps he was standing nearby when it all happened which would explain why he was there first. I think you are assuming that someone called him because he is described as a Paramedic.
I imagined people standing around the campsite (or whatever) and seeing the car start rolling toward the cliff start discussing who should call the ambulance.
“She’ll be fine I’m sure” says her family as they continue with their cookout.
okay, I shouldn’t assume
She must be a conservative since didn’t wait for someone to save her
