Health Care Debates Abound

Healthcare debates take centerstage today around Metro Atlanta.
Several conservative groups that include members of the tea party movement as well as conservative radio talkshow hosts, will hold a health care rally this afternoon in Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown Atlanta.
This morning Democratic Congressman David Scott holds a health care forum at a high school in Jonesboro.
Scott has been pushed to the front of the health care debate this week when a swastika was painted over a sign with his name at one of his district offices.
Scott charges that the debate has been highjacked by racism, which he says is bubbling under the surface at townhall meetings around the country.
I'll need more proof.
tsk, tsk, tsk, now, dear scottie... calm down or pelosi will have to send another ACORN to paint on your window again!!!
Yes it has been hijacked by racism, if you mean liberal whining that it is all about racism...
What does HEALTH CARE have to do with Obama’s race anyway? Do they think we would swallow his socialist agenda if he was a white boy?
tsk, tsk, tsk, now, dear scottie... calm down or pelosi will have to send another ACORN to paint on your window again!!!
and actually, everything that has happened since January has been a result OF a HIGHJACKING by racism.... only now, the people have gotten sick and tired of it... IMO
When the liberals are in trouble, especially the black liberals, they always cry racism, always. They cannot debate on the merits, so they resort to name calling. And the MSM gives them cover.
I am willing to bet good money that the swastika was painted by a dem supporter (or by himself).
Conservatives have no stake in using that term for this
While Scott may think of Smyrna as still being a nest of gap-toothed rednecks (and probably does), his district office is on Concord Road, which is a mostly commercial thoroughfare just off South Cobb Drive. The surrounding area is largely black and Hispanic. The Hispanics mostly speak little English and don't have a dog in this fight, and the older single family subdivisions nearby are full of elderly retired folks who are NOT going to go strolling out to Concord Road in the dead of night to spray paint somebody's sign.
And it's just TOO convenient that this happened the day after he made a fool of himself screaming at a doctor at his town hall claiming he was a plant, when he lives in the district, and then went on the TV and made an even bigger fool of himself trying to argue with the doctor. Nope - just the usual liberal tactic of trying to divert attention by making a victim out of himself.
GMTA.
Everything obama has been doing since he started running for President is so close a parallel to Hitler it's scary!
This is the color of my children's skin. They are my moreninhos. Our first generation that tans and doesn't burn. They are so beautiful and intelligent. Gifted...and my son is a fine shot with a rifle.
The person who says I'm a racist in front of my son should make their peace with God before doing so.
If conservatives had done those swatiskas, the job would have been neeter. The left are using these tactics, hoping we will back off...as WAS our custom in the past.

Obama is President.
The economy continues to slip.
Layoffs mount.
And every damn time I turn on the television Obama is either lecturing us, in a commercial for something government reltated or on vacation with his extended family & friends. Shouldn’t he get to work?!
“Scott charges that the debate has been highjacked by racism”...As one racist to another you POS, LOOK IN YOUR OWN MIRROR........See, that’s what many racists look like!
me too. I think someone got a call from pelosi and did it... it’s an old Marxist trick... and pretty effective sometimes, but we have educated ourselves in the past couple of months on what to look for in this obamanation regime, thus, we can more or less nip it in the bud when they start accusing of of what they do... and lying all the time....
The grassroots movement is evolving beyond health care. It is an overall opposition against socialism and reversing that trend by demanding a return to the Constitution.
Grassroot movement is motivated by great concern that the America they knew is slipping away and the politicians (GOP and Dems) are not doing anything about it as bankers loot the nation and leave the taxpayers the bill. Americans can feel something stinks and the politicians have a major role in causing the stink. GOP and Dem reps are both catching hell, but the Dems are getting the major brunt of it because they are the ones in charge. As far as I can see, American is divided into three camps, the very rich corporate types who don’t give a damn about the declining US except lobby Congress to pass bailouts, the ones who are already poor and fearing cuts in their entitlements and see the Dems as the only way to pass laws to tax the producers to keep their entitlements flowing, and finally the American middle class who still have their wealth and are in the fear of losing it to economic events and the organized poor. They do not have full faith in the GOP and are still looking for a poltical movement that will meet their needs. This is similar to 1930’s Germany where the poor supported the Communists/Socialists, and the middle class who fear losing their wealth eventually support the Nazis, while the aristocracy/industrialist supported the government till the last minute and made a pact with the Nazis.
The swastikas don’t mean “the Nazi Party wuz here.” They mean “Nazi-like policies are supported by the rat who works here.”
