BAGHDAD -- Unnerved by bombings that have killed hundreds this summer, many Iraqis are losing faith in their own security forces and fear the Americans are leaving too quickly.
The misgivings about the U.S. pullback from the cities, and even about the Dec. 31, 2011 deadline for a full withdrawal, come at a time when a senior U.S. officer has suggested the Americans declare victory and leave even sooner.
Iraqis, including military commanders, believe their security forces aren't ready to act alone.

personally, were I an Iraqi, I would be appalled.
Its going to be a hot time in old Bagdad real soon...
THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID “THANK YOU” SOONER AND MAYBE THE LEFT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AS SUCCESSFUL FOISTING “HOPEY CHANGIE DORK” ON US
YOu should have had RALLIES and full-page ads THANKING USA and celebrations to YOUR FREEDOM thanks to USA every year on Bagdad Liberation Day, etc etc, etc
The hopey changie crowd thinks we are ‘evil occupiers’ because you let that sentiment be hear with no rebuttal
No wonder SoDamn Hinsane had you under his thumb for so long.
A few months ago the MSM was hammering into the audience that all Iraqis want nothing more than US troops leaving.
Iraqis did countless times express their gratitude and appreciation on all levels. You didn’t seriously expect the Western MSM to report this honestly?

I'm not sure I'd blame this one on the (Western) media. The Iraqi people's attitude towards the US is somewhat schizophrenic - they want us out right now, but not yet.
Many times, publicly and privately.
Things were good for a while. I really hate to hear the bombs again. It breaks my heart.
I want eventually US troops out, the Iraqis want it , and most of all, the troops themselves want eventually to come home.
That's not the issue here at all. The point is that the time we leave, things should be stable enough.
That's what the libs, rats and terrorists don't want. They want premature withdrawal that leads to chaos.
The Iraqi’s ought to have been more careful of what they wished for.
They wanted their country back, let’s see if they can keep it.
Boy, does their tone change with the communizers in power.
get ready for the videos of choppers being shoved overboard
I have it from a reliable source that reports saying our troops are sitting on their thumbs now in Iraq are pretty much true.
We need to speed up the redeployment. The original Bush/Rummie/Casey (as adjusted by Petraeus) plan worked, the Iraqis have taken over their own security, and it’s too easy to leave a lethal air asset in Bahrain and off the coast.
As much separation as these troops have experienced over the past 5 years, they should have someone arguing for their soon return.
But if the US military is the only reliable stabilizer, Iraq is doomed.
Is The Bamster going to funk this up after all we have done and the men and women who have sacrificed? The Bamster is barely even an American, with this JOKER anything goes. 100x worse than Bill Clinton
