An American extremist has been banned from entering Britain to attend a controversial BNP festival. Preston Wiginton, a close associate of BNP leader Nick Griffin, was turned away at Heathrow because officials believed his presence would stir up racial tension. He was meant to be teaming up with Mr Griffin at the Red, White and Blue rally, the BNP's annual summer party which takes place in Codnor, Derbyshire this weekend

U.S. “Extremist” Banned from Entering the U.K.

I guess this applies to most of the US congress, along with Obama and his administration.

This will just make the BNP more popular. When the Leftist govt seems most worried about BNP, and people start to get fed up with the govt, then BNP is where they will go.

We may have to tolerate our own racist a’holes in this country, but it doesn’t mean we have to import foreign ones as well...

I don’t think the government banning a notorious anti-semite and racist who has compared non-whites to cancer is going to make the BNP more popular.
The fact that they are associated with such a man would more likely serve to remind disgruntled yet fundamentally decent British people of the BNP’s true origins as a National Socialist party which is now posturing as a party of freedom in the same way that the ‘formerly’ socialist Labour Party under Blair and Brown has tried to posture as the party of the free-market....

I saw the power gain by the BNP is a good thing in the sense that people will rebel against them and lead to some moderation in the same way they rebelled against the far left.

“When the Leftist govt seems most worried about BNP, and people start to get fed up with the govt, then BNP is where they will go.”

BNP is further left than the Labour Party on most issues, plus a bunch of delusional racists as well, so lets hope not.

Prohibited because it would stir up racial tension! What a deal!

State controlled American media (SCAM) Headline?

Required by the Constitution, says Congress
Obama Signs Domestic Tranquility Law
Opposition to President would stir up racial tension; violations punishable, 10 years/$1m

Does Britain even have a party that’s actually conservative?

BNP is further left than the Labour Party on most issues, plus a bunch of delusional racists as well, so lets hope not.

The big thing that BNP is, and what attracts increasing numbers of UK voters, is the only UK party which is unapologetically anti-Islamic-immigration.

The message being sent to the Conservative party is "you WILL stop being so PC, polite, and deferential towards the Muslims, or we will vote BNP".

“The big thing that BNP is, and what attracts increasing numbers of UK voters, is the only UK party which is unapologetically anti-Islamic-immigration.”

They are anti-all immigration. They also have plans to use taxpayer money to pay people to leave the country (because if your grandparents were one of the people who came from the West Indies to the UK in the 1950s then you’re not British).

But you’re correct that they have tended to focus on their anti-Islamic statements in recent years, (correctly I would have thought) making a judgement that there are more votes in that than their more traditional anti-semitism.

Currently, not really, no.

What needs to happen in the UK is for the Conservatives to turn more anti-immigration. Otherwise, people who see Islam as a threat to their future WILL turn to the BNP.
