Are Geckos considered vermin?

And, if not, why not?

(You can tell by the smarmy accent that he's from a socialist country anyway!)

"Are Geckos considered vermin?"

Not at all. They eat insects. My cousin was stationed in Southeast Asia, and households there tried to attract geckos to keep down the insect population.

Geckos are considered very friendly creatures in Hawaii. They eat cockroaches (And if you've ever seen the cockroaches in Hawaii you understand completely.)

Off the subject and apologies to putting the heat on Geico.

Are Geckos considered vermin?

No, a thousand times NO!!!!

I love geckos. I live 2.5 degrees south. There are a whole lot of malaria-carrying mosquitoes (thank you Rachel Carson!). Geckos eat mosquitoes. They eat a lot of mosquitoes. If it were not for geckos and bats, many more people would be dead from malaria and dengue fever and other parasitical diseases.

For the service they do, are not vermin and, in fact, are greatly desired.
