Dear Frank,
This morning on the Today show it was announced that President Obama has asked me, on behalf of American Solutions, to travel the country on an Education Reform tour. I'll be joined by two very unlikely allies, to talk about charter schools and real education reform.
I'll be travelling with Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Reverend Al Sharpton, who are also strongly in favor of charter schools, on a multi-city tour.
As a citizen, I believe where you have differences with your elected officials, you should oppose them vigorously. But when you can find common ground, it's important to work together to achieve the common goal.
As a candidate, and even now, President Obama has supported charter schools. On this subject, and in other ways that we can work together to strengthen education in our country, I look forward to working with the President.

This tour is about our children and their future. It is about the future of America. If we want to remain the safest, freest and most prosperous nation in the world, our children and grandchildren must have access to schools where they can learn to their fullest potential. Our schools must be accountable for results and be focused solely on learning and achievement.

Dear Newt,
I have just read about your decision to travel around the nation with Al Sharpton and some other person I don’t know, to discuss education reform.
This and other decisions in the past few years have made me aware that you might not know about this fabulous medication they have on the market. Aricept for dementia seems to work wonders for others in your position who have clearly gone off the cliff into not being aware of their surroundings or what they are saying.
Please look into this, for yourself and the sake of the conservative movement.

Yes, Newt, it’s that ‘common goal’ part that worries many of us, like when your ‘common goal’ with Tamara Jacoby, Grover Norquist and the list of open border supporters you aligned with to get Bush’s Amnesty passed. And then there was his ‘global warming’ alignment with the left..and what else?
Do NOT trust this guy! No conservative would ever tout him as a presidential candidate!

Newt WAS a great thinker but he is really off the reservation now. We have my 96& 95 yr. old inlaws living w/us, they both have dementia & sometimes they make more sense than Newt does. What a waste.
A lot of people feel that way. Any hope for the presidency was gone when he palled up with (was it Pelosi?) to do the enviro/green/global warming ad. Forget it.
I believe that real reform in education is necessary. It should start with elimination of the department of education.

the good idea of charter schools is IMHO being overshadowed by the “race pimp”. the only possibly thing Sharpton could bring besides the cameras, is maybe get through to other AA about the benefits of charter schools vs failing public schools. but “Shark-ton” will have to “race bait” to do that and to me this is unacceptable.
i have a lot of questions about Newt lately.
