They can pass whatever laws they want.. If they truly wanted to free citizens from evil insurance company's, they could mandate these company's cover people who pay the premiums. Some insurance company's coverage is truly terrible. But, they are getting away with this because our Government is allowing them to.
The example Obuma used, of the person getting no coverage for a preexisting condition he was unaware of, is similar to what the government is going to do . I think, the government will see that elderly people have a preexisting condition called (age) as a reason for no coverage..
Consider it stolen and will be used wisely!
