Voter preferences are clear, however. By a 70% to 22% margin, voters say that gaining control of the borders is more important than legalizing the status of undocumented workers already in the country.
Three-out-of-four voters believe that the federal government is not doing enough to secure the nation’s borders. Roughly the same number want cops to check the immigration status of all offenders during traffic stops. Sixty-seven percent (67%) also say that if law enforcement officers know of places where immigrants gather to find work, they should sometimes conduct surprise raids to identify and deport those who are here illegally. On another hot button topic, 77% of voters nationwide oppose drivers’ licenses for undocumented immigrants.
Sixty-eight percent (68%) of voters nationwide say that those who knowingly hire illegal immigrants should be punished. By a 48% to 36% margin, voters say the same about landlords who rent to illegal immigrants.
This will be the “Next Waterloo”

Yes. These poor people need to be humanely and gently all removed to their country of origin. They have violated our immigration laws and should be DEPORTED. There are no jobs here if we put employers of illegals in prison.
All good guys and gals at this meeting. We need to keep the pressure on beating DeathCare because it is a trojan horse for illegal immigration.
Also if we stop DeathCare then they will not try amnesty or cap and trade.
I drove past two bar/restaurants last night on the way home. It was past midnight and I had been working late.
The restaurant/bar catering to illegal alien Brazilians was packed with probably 200 people in a place that can hold 125. This is like this every work night.
The American bar/restaurant had a few car in the parking lot.
The Americans were home sleeping to get up the next morning to go to work to pay taxes for the endless freebies the illegals get including: free healthcare, free perscrip drugs, food stamps, welfare, soc security, medicaid, housing vouchers, free $10,000 a year education per child plus breakfast lunch and afternoon “snack’ aka dinner plus othere benefits.
I am sick of this BS. Resist!
I’m fine with this if we discuss the fact that we have huge numbers of Chinese, African, Arab and Eastern European illegals. They are all health and crime problems: the Eastern Europeans and Chinese go for organized crime and prostitution, while the Africans and Arabs go mostly for welfare fraud and terrorism.
We have to move this away from Latin Americans, because they’re only a part of the problem and by no means the worst part of it. If people keep on attacking Latin Americans (who generally work and very often actually just want to stay here long enough to earn money to go back home), this problem is not going to be solved because it makes anti-illegal immigration people look like a bunch of bigots and not people who are concerned about a serious problem.
Obama’s aunt isn’t Latin American, and I can assure you that she’s just one of unknown thousands of illegal African immigrants in this country. There are illegal Chinese immigrants living in the kitchens of who knows how many Chinese restaurant in the US (literally - sleeping in the kitchens and going to the bathroom in the sink), and there are probably Albanian and Somali illegals selling drugs in your own town.
