Most women prefer to work for male bosses because they are less prone to mood swings, research revealed yesterday.
Two thirds of female employees said they like having a man in charge in the office. Those questioned also said male bosses are more authoritative, straight-talking and better at making decisions than their female counterparts.
Battle of the sexes: Two thirds of women say they prefer working for a male boss because they are better decision-makers than their female counterparts But the study did find the fairer sex are better at delegation and more likely to dish out praise.
The statistics come ten days after Harriet Harman declared men in power can't be trusted. Labour's deputy leader said: 'I don't agree with all-male leaderships. 'Men cannot be left to run things on their own. I think it's a thoroughly bad thing to have a men-only leadership.'
The results of the survey also revealed four out of ten women who have female bosses believe they could do a better job than their superior.
A spokesman for www.OnePoll.com, which conducted the research, said: 'The results make interesting reading as there were pros and cons to both sexes.'

The key to a good working team is to be one of those you want to hire. The right people for the job will just show up to work for you! ;)
Bless you for that!
But being her friend was treacherous too. She had two underlings who were her drinking buddies on Friday nights. They chummed and palled around away from work. But when it came time for the annual job appraisal, this boss would *bury* them so they couldn't be approved for transfer/promotion. That way, she wouldn't be losing her drinking pals.
I've also had women bosses who were wonderful but, unfortunately, most of them were queen bees that cared more about power than results. They delegated so that they wouldn't have to actually think about solving problems. They made the people below her fix the problems so she had an easy target to blame should anything go wrong.
That's not to say men are perfect bosses either. But, at least in my experience, men are less stressful to have as bosses because there seems to be less jousting going on and the men are more willing to own the work given them rather than shuffle them to others.
Your miles may vary.
Of course, that hasn't helped our newborns!
Obviously women CAN be good bosses. But men are less likely to try a sneaky, roundabout approach when they don’t like you. The men will get in your face, and surely, they can make life hell. But the women can make it hell squared.
I think the reason women prefer male bosses is that we are much easier for them to manipulate.
I’ve never been screamed at by a male boss I have had that done by a female boss. Male bosses seem to be easier to please while female bosses think if you do a good job then next time you should do more. I’ve always been happier while working for a male.
