Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-IA) claims that President Obama told him "he's willing to be a one-term president if that's what it takes to get health care and energy reform," reports Radio Iowa.
Said Boswell: "The president (said), 'I'm not going to kick the can down the road.' And he said that and I said, 'Well, that's something I'm kind of used to from southern Iowa, you know. I know about kicking the can down the road.' And he said, 'No, if it makes me a one-term president, I'm going to, we're going to take it on because the country is in need of us taking this on.' I respected that very much."
Oh please....Zero wants nothing more that to be in office for eight years. The guy is so full of sh1t...
Can anyone say...Waterloo?
good, let’s defeat them both
How kind of him to give up his own personal aspirations to destroy the country.
Of course, we all know this is a big lie. He wants to be President for 8 years, if not for life.
This is great if true. We WANT him to “stake his presidency” on something that nearly two-thirds of Americans absolutely oppose. Way to go, Zero.
Wonder what the pay off from Soros will be after those four years?
Stake his presidency on health insurance reform? I suppose he already has. And he’s in way over his little, platitude-filled, teleprompter-guided head. As an article posted just above states, “’Hands Off’ Our Health Care, Obama”. We’re willing to look at what he offers, most of us, but most of us just aren’t interested in trading down and paying more.
” he’s willing to be a one-term president “
Happy to oblige...
After we kick you back to Washington with your tail between your legs, we fully intend to kick you back to Chicago....
I actually think the Waterloo reference isn’t a good one. The better one if you’re comparing Obama to Napoleon would be health care as his invasion of Russia.
If true, he may convince the Dems to fall on the sword with him as healthcare and energy are such huge pieces of their long-term agenda.
If they can enact these as entitlements, even a major Republican shift would not be enough to undo these programs. It would take a Republican majority of 60 votes or more in the Senate to reverse the damage.
This was the ultimate question for which nobody knew the answer.....is Obama’s second term more important than Obama’s devotion to socialism.
Sounds good to me: lose healthcare and lose in 2012.
“Obama Willing to Stake Presidency on Health Care Reform”
3 year lame duck? Sounds good to me.
Obama is a one termer. Without question.
If he is a one term bozo, Soros has a back up plan I’m sure.
Needless to say, Obama didn't mention how long he intended that one term to last.
Why wait 'til the end of the term - RESIGN NOW!
