Cash for Clunkers Finds Celebrity Support

An organization that informs people of the Cash for Clunkers program has recently announced that several celebrities have showed their support in giving consumers the simple and easy summary of the program, that started just a few days ago.Though Americans have already shown great interest in program, which is officially known as CARS - Car Allowance Rebate System, the support Dancing With The Stars' Cristian de la Fuente and Ugly Betty star Angelica Vale does not hurt at all.

"This government subsidy will make it easy for people to get a new car that is a lot less expensive to operate and maintain because of the great gas mileage and lack of repair costs," said Cristian de la Fuente in a statement for the press.

"It is great to see the government funded automotive bailout helping hard working people who need the financial support." Angelica Vale added, "Finally consumers are getting a bail out, because they are benefiting by up to $4500 a person." ...

KEYWORDS: celebrity; clunkers; freemoney; giveaways; illegals
They have hired a famous Mexican actress/singer to come up here to the U.S. and go on talk shows, like Don Francisco, and promote it. Her name is Angelica Vale (who was NOT Ugly Betty, but rather a remake). Think about that. A Mexican citizen sent to the U.S. to tell illegals how to take advantage of a U.S government giveaway. They said on Univision "no necesitan papeles" which means you don't need "legal papers," ie a green card, to participate. Using your tax dollars.

Putting someone in a car they can’t afford, in the driveway of a house they can’t afford is bizarro logic beyond compare. Only a liberal could imagine it.

I think that would be “taxing one group of people and using the money to put another group of people in cars they cannot afford...”

Even if they knock a few grand off for your clunker you still drive off the lot with a $20,000 debt or thereabouts.

I predict that in a few months the repo market is going to be soaring.

My money stays in the First Bank of Naughtius Maximus.

(My projected Christmas expenditures: One small turkey on sale plus a new ironing board cover for wife.)

“Dancing With The Stars’ Cristian de la Fuente and Ugly Betty star Angelica Vale”

...stars!? Either way...4 solid reason “Cash for Clunkers” is a clunker...
1- Using taxpayer money.
2- Denies Churches and donor organizations their programs of accepting clunkers and offering tax write offs.
3- 7 of the top 10 cars bought with “clunker” money are japanese.
4- Takes perfectly good cars off the road denying 2nd hand cars to youth, lower income etc.

Name a positive. Can’t be done.

I see....

"It is great to see the government funded automotive bailout helping hard working people who need the financial support." Angelica Vale added, "Finally consumers are getting a bail out, because they are benefiting by up to $4500 a person." ...

So its just another welfare program.

It is fast becoming an entitlement program

...plus a new ironing board cover for wife... What a sweet, thoughtful, indulgent romantic old softy you are!! My husband has never recovered the territory he lost when he gave me a power drill for Valentine's Day one year because I had mentioned in passing, months before, that I would like to have one. I used it to build him a new dog house.

OK OK, I'll throw in a 6 pack of vacuum cleaner bags. (A regular Father Christmas.)

And when they cannot afford to continue to make the payments... what is Obama going to do with all the used cars. Its going to be the housing boondoggle all over again.
