Right. Mary Ford was the wife of Les Paul, and they performed together for many years. This Wikipedia entry is pretty informative:

JA, IIRC, there were 15 minute TV shows in the afternoon in the 50s. One was the Les Paul and Mary Ford show, followed by the 15 minute Dinah Shore Show (see the USA in your Chevrolet).

I thank my mom that we always had music in the house. Our 42 year old son plays guitar in various bands. He talks about Les Paul as being "the source."

Yes, they were really popular in the 50's I think. One of their great songs was "Somewhere There's Music".
