Says he flubbed stats Says he flubbed stats

By CAROL E. LEE

Before presenting tennis legend Billie Jean King with the Medal of Freedom Wednesday, President Obama ticked off some ...

... of her accomplishments: 12 Grand Slam titles, 101 doubles titles, 67 singles titles.

“Pretty good, Billie Jean,” he quipped.

But he didn’t get any of it right, according to King herself.

“They didn’t get any of my facts right,” King lightheartedly noted afterward. “Did you see all the – how many titles I won? I was cracking up.”

“Not even in the ballpark,” she continued.

King found it amusing, and said her accomplishments on the court aren’t the most important.

“I thought it was adorable,” she said.

Asked what Obama got wrong, she said, “Well the Grand Slam’s at 39 not at 12.”

“That’s not what’s important,” she explained. So when Obama got it wrong, “I thought even was more cute...I go, ‘Oh that’s really sweet.’ Like, just move on, get off the tennis stuff. Tennis was a platform.”

0 could pull off a nigerian email scam on a liberal, and the stupid imbecile would feel honored, charmed and cute about it. They don’t just drink his koolaid; they drink the koolaid he puked.

"Tennis was a platform."

Yeah, a platform for the advancement of her primary interests.

But he didn’t get any of it right, according to King herself.

Don't worry America, this is just tennis. He'll make all of your health care and financial decisions for you just fine.

(No tonsillectomy for you!)

These guys can’t do anything right. I feel bad for King. A 10 year old with Internet access could have gotten her correct career stats via Google in about 2 minutes or so. Another embarrassment.

‘I’m confused..if tennis isn’t important, than what was she getting a medal for?’

Probably for having the ‘courage’ to be openly lesbian when it wasn’t cool to be openly lesbian. That’s my guess. I’m trying to think like a liberal who has to choose medal recipients. All kidding aside, it should be for excellence in tennis and for being a notable female athlete, ‘cause BJK was quite good...

So you are saying BO could not have sat down and done a simple Internet search? What on earth is his “secured” BlackBerry for, anyhow? You can Web browse on one of those, right?

Somehow though I can’t imagine BO seriously sitting down in front of a computer and doing research of any sort, even to find out when the next Metro train leaves or where to buy arugula.

I don’t believe she was openly lesbian- at least not at first. She was married and apparently having surreptitious affairs- that eventually everybody knew about.

They can’t google Billy Jean King’s career stats? Another day, another example of government incompetence under Hussein. Here’s an idea: Let’s have these folks manage 1/6 of the economy.

I honestly opened this thread expecting to see this B. King. I guess I should go to bed - it's late.

LOL. I forgot about his Blackberry. Anyway, I don’t expect Zero to do internet searches for sports stats. He has the entire Federal Government at his disposal to research this kind of stuff. A staffer could have called ESPN and THEY would have done the work and faxed it to the White House. But, no. Apparently, the government, with all of it’s resources, couldn’t pull the correct career stats for Billie Jean King. But, they still can manage our healthcare AND save money in the process!!!! And anyone who disagrees is a racist!!! /s
