"It represents beauty to me," says Abdelaziz, the 17-year-old daughter of two Egyptian parents living in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Ah, and also- your parents would kill you.

Interesting that the NOW hasn’t made any headway into the Muslim female culture, pressing for women’s rights, etc. I guess they have been too busy taking Sarah Palin to task for choosing to be a working mom.

Just remember, no petting below the hijab.

And a fat man wearing spandex could try to explain away his appearance in a similar manner, wouldnt keep people from laughing at him either. ;-)

She is free not to wear the hijab today and, then, free to get her head chopped off tomorrow (I think that is a paraphrase of Lenin).

Why don’t Muslim men wear the hijab? Furthermore, why don’t Muslim men kill each other for sex crimes against women? If the family is dishonored when their family member is assaulted, why don’t they personally bear the responsibility for failing to protect their child or wife from the crime?

She's fortunate that in her case the hijab frames a pretty face.

I don't see very many women in this head cover who look self-confident and upbeat. They seem to feel quite oppressed if their depressed facial expressions are any indicator. I don't believe the hijab is voluntary, therefore I pity the women encased in them.

She has no choice. In a Muzzie country she would have no choice as an adult. That is what is so offensive about Obambi’s Cairo speech and his “women who chose” comment. Obambi is on the side of oppression. Obambi is a defender of oppression.

"[The hijab] represents beauty to me," says Abdelaziz, the 17-year-old daughter of two Egyptian parents living in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Yeah, I've known a few 17 year old girls like that -- only they required paper bags to attain "beauty"... ;-)
