Medicare and Medicaid are losing a lot more money than the post office. The education department is not having any success at improving students' grades. Social Security is going bankrupt. But, the best example of all wouldve been the congress. Just about everything they do puts the country in a bigger hole.

And the little publicized truth is that Congress is the reason that the post office is losing money.

I didnt know this till it was explained here a couple weeks ago. Congress requires the postal service to pre-pay employee health benefits to the tune of billions of dollars a year. That's the cause of the red ink.

It's probably a safe bet that the money is used for Ponzi-like purposes to pay other civil service obligations.

I have to ask, am I just living in an alternate dimension?

Around here it’s the mail lady who’s polite, friendly, and never seems to mess things up, while the UPS guy is the dumbest waste of oxygen I’ve ever had the misfortune to be forced to deal with.

He’s never clued into ideas we tend to teach children soon as they’re old enough to understand...concepts like “If you need the attention of someone inside a home, ring the doorbell or knock on the door.” He just slings packages onto the carport and runs.

Which...we could almost forgive, except there’s a chair he could set them on.

Did I mention this crap has led to several of our packages being chewed or eaten, yes literally EATEN, by the neighbor’s roaming cur?

Never saw that episode. That is funny. Where’d those writers go. It would be nice to get some sitcoms back with good writers instead of American Idol and Dances With the Stars. Land-o-morons.

I don’t get my magazines about 10% of the time. I called to complain about not getting Barrons on Saturdays and the guy at the post office said, “ that’s the one most peoople complain about”... it’s like, “ Well, Duh”. That’s the one that is suppose to arrive every Saturday. Most of us don’t know when our other magazines are suppose to arrive. So we dont’ complain. Mail is another crappy government screw-up. So who wants to hand over health care to these puffed up idiots?
