Several activist organizations called for immigration reform in front of U.S. Senator John Cornyn's office in Harlingen on Monday.
La Union del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) and several organizations told Action 4 News that they wanted to show their dissaproval to what they're calling the Republican Texas seantor's unsupportive behavior for Latino issues.
Although Senator Cornyn's office was closed, the picketers called him by cell phone and chanted in unison for better representation for the Hispanic community.
Marta Sanchez with LUPE said they are seeking a legislation for comprehensive immigration reform and support on several other acts in Congress up for legislation.
"We feel he needs to represent us also," Sanchez said. "We're under his jurisdiction. We also feel he needs to represent us as Hispanics because we got very disturbed when he didn't publically support Sotomayor and that gives us a sign he's not representing us."
LUPE, UFWA mob.
Healthcare reform:
All illegals out of US now.

He is representing you. He just isn't representing illegal immigrants.
Real slick mob there, in front of a closed, empty office. Too bad ICE wasn’t driving by at the time, I would be the majority have no business being here, let alone protesting the Rule of Law.
“Marta Sanchez with LUPE...”
LOL....loopy is the right word, all right. Go home, if you don’t like squatting on the Texas side of the border.
I’ve been in Presidio on a Saturday and seen all the shoppers loading up with groceries with US food stamps and then heading back to Mexico. We feed you, educate your children and treat your relatives humanely in jail. That should be quite enough without us handing out US citizenship like a pair of used shoes.

Who gives a Crap? Us AMERICANS are interested only in him supporting AMERICAN issues!
They want someone to support their Latino issues...go to Mexico.
Sotomayor is an unwise, La Raza member who is overturned nearly 70% of the time by higher courts...she is a Liberal activist.
How about deportation?
Of course, to the Democrat Media, these are the “good” protesters, and wouldn’t be labeled as “un-American”.
LUPE ping!
If you want on, or off this S. Texas/Mexico ping list, please FReepMail me.
This gives me a sign that they are simply racists (that is people who make determination about things and people based on their race).
Is that why Cornyn came out yesterday demanding Obama start ‘immigration’ reform. We need to be outnumbering the open border crowd, but then they get paid to protest, don’t they....and we’d be called ‘racist’??? What a mess.
Cornyn to Obama: Immigration reform NOW—not next year

Ah, yes, not supporting a liberal bigot translates to being unsupportive of hispanics generally. No me das esa mierda, idiota!
