It IS pushing the envelope. I admire the guys cajones! I’m not so sure the Secret Service will agree. I hope to see this on Fox News or I will be very disappointed. We don’t have an open carry in Pa. We have concealed carry. I just wished more law abiding sisters and brothers carried.

????????? Look it up. We have both. PA is a shall issue state.Visit the County Sheriff where you live, fill out the form, pay your 25 bucks and get a permit to carry concealed. No permit is needed to carry openly.

Yes, in fact, you do. It's very strongly enshrined in the Pennsylvania Constitution, remember? Shall not be questioned, or some such?

Jim Noble was arrested for lawfully and peaceably carrying a firearm openly in the vicinity of an Obama campaign rally in Beaver, PA, while holding a bible ("clinging") and handing out pro-gun literature. He was arrested NOT by the Secret Service, who were aware of his presence, but by the local police. They prosecuted him for disorderly conduct and disrupting a public meeting, and a jury found him not guilty on all counts on July 17.

The Secret Service understands open and concealed carry laws - why so many Freepers and police officers don't, I just have no idea.

Fear the government which fears your guns.

I am assuming that you mean Pennsylvania? According to PA state law, any person over the age of 21 (and not mental, etc.) may carry a firearm openly in any jurisdiction other than a city of the first class (Philadelphia happens to be the only one) WITHOUT a PA LTCF. LTCF holders may carry concealed OR open ANYWHERE in the state.

Here in Michigan, we have open-carry, and concealed licenses.
You don’t need a permit to open-carry, but need a permit to conceal.
Many people are beginning to open-carry as a daily thing, and the LEO’s are starting to get it with the laws.

I don’t think that I would open-carry around ‘Bambi though.

I feel for the Secret Service and what they have to do.

However, given the statistics on crime, black-on-black is at a much higher rate than other forms, and therefore, greater attention should be paid to any blacks in the audience at an Obama appearance.

The Brother hasn't delivered much that was promised to his constituents-of-color and some may be itchin' for some of that "Change" he talked of. If this keeps up, Jackson and Sharpton may wantin' to have a look at that 'ole birth certificate.
