WASHINGTON (CNN) The first primary contest of the 2012 election cycle is more than two years away, but some Republicans are already voting sort of.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee which assists GOP Senate candidates e-mailed a "Proxy Ballot" to some supporters on Monday asking them which Republican leader is their top choice for the Republican presidential nomination. The survey also asks Republicans to rank the importance of issues like health care, abortion rights and taxes.

The ultimate Republican Establishment guy. Apparently competent as a governor, but a mushy rollover to the Obama agenda. His objection to Obamacare? That it’s moving so fast. Yech!
Are they joking?
really? I wasn’t aware of this, if you wouldn’t mind posting links I would really appreciate it.
Saw him quoted on it here today, I’ll see if I can find it.
This is merely a fund-raising wheeze. The envelopes get opened, the checks removed, and the surveys pitched on the trash heap alongside Jimmy Swaggart’s prayer requests.
Here’s the FR thread based on the article today quoting Barbour on health care: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2312845/posts
Geez, I just found out he represented Mexico and NAFTA agreements.
Also, here is a video of Barbour arguing for the bank bailout(Bankers’ Heist of 2008)

He looked good on the surface. Oh well, I guess it is down to Ron Paul unless DeMint decides to run.
I understand. I was a fan of his after Katrina, but I’ve since figured out he’s a hyperpolitical rollover Republican who at first looks good because he outwardly plays to his conservative Southern state.
BTW, I’m strongly with Paul on 70% of his positions (I’ve got tiny government, libertarian leanings), so I understand his appeal.
I think the appeal of a Ron Paul, or someone that take his positions on the Bank Bailout, Auto Bailout, Stimulus, Income Tax, Federal Reserve(more than 70% of Americans support auditing the FED), and Amnesty for Illegals.
would be popular
I agree. He worries me on foreign affairs and comes across as too cranky and out on the fringe to actually win himself, but he’s very, very right on many of his positions, I believe.
The moderates that the NRSC backs on the other hand, are more losing, Democrat-lite mush.
If you are going to vote against lobbyists or lawyers based on their clients, you are unlikely to be voting for any lawyers or lobbyists. Not that that would necessarily be a bad thing!
Except for the fact that he is surrounded by anti-semites and truthers, and the country would not survive four years of his foreign policy.
Personally, I'll take integrity, and would be very happy with Palin and Bachmann, or Palin and Malkin, or ... I don't believe Michelle Malkin would be interested, but I might be wrong, and has, of course, no management governing experience, but neither did Obama? It wouldn't hurt our chances to have two beautiful and smart women running, both with a fierce reputation for integrity..
DeMint impresses, but I find it hard to accept someone who wouldn't ask the question they all knew should have been resolved - Is Obama a natural born citizen? Neither, of course, would Bachmann, but she is extemely good with both economic issues and with the law, and has more children than Palin. I do like Imhofe for his unwavering devotion to truth in battling the global warning swindle “cap and trade”.
Total ditto for me.
Seems to me the Republican party likes Socialism!!
I (write-in) vote for Fred Thompson.
i kinda tired of nobodies
****Palin was the only good idea out of all 12 they chose to list.****
I want a good explanation on why she quit the governorship before I back her for anything again.
