Yes, I believe the pro-0bamacare forces wouldn't be there at all unless they received some sort of compensation. Often unions can direct their charges that might be on lay-off to do various kinds of work--often picketing, etc., so this counter-demonstration thuggery would be right in line with that.

I'm sure they needed to provide uniforms in the form of recognizeable T-shirts, or they wouldn't know how to react properly their their own versus "THEM". One wouldn't want them pummelling the wrong side's people, after all.

For the against-0bama-deathcare folks, their aversion to tax- and freedom-rape sufficiently motivates their presence, such that they need no further compensation to justify their presence, said Captain Obvious.
