This is no time for jokes or trivial banter. The stakes are getting higher by the nanosecond. As tensions are inflamed at health care town hall meetings across the country, a dangerous trend of Hitler comparisons, Stalin comparisons, and all-around dictator comparisons to President Barack Obama is taking shape. The most probing question at this juncture might be uncomfortable to some, but it must be asked: Do conservative, hard-right demagogues, whose hatred for President Obama has hardly ever been subdued, secretly hope for--and are hard at work toward--the assassination of the nation's first Black president.
The sheer thought that a faction of the country's political bloc holds such views might unnerve certain readers, but fear of the probable demands that we face up to the consequences before it's too late.
A couple of days ago, violence broke out at a Tampa, Florida, health care summit at which U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor was speaking. Mob groups, contracted by right-wing organizations, loudly interrupted the Congresswoman as she spoke, causing a scene so volatile that it soon turned violent.
For those who had been following the recent outbursts of verbal chaos at countless Congressional health care-centered town hall meetings, the Tampa incident was but the inevitable culmination of a brewing hostility that had begun bubbling as early as last weekend, when Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, was heckled and berated by reform opponents at a Pennsylvania town hall meeting where she was also joined by Philadelphia Democratic Senator, Arlen Specter.

Re presidential assassinations: I was a young teen in 1963 — when Kennedy was shot/died rumors were all over the place about how Lyndon Johnson had ordered it done so he could be president. hahaha — ridiculous.

Wishing someone’s death is, to me, kind of a crime of the mind, and perhaps, prosecutable if one is heard to utter those wishes out loud.
But, it would be infinitely more pleasurable and gratifying to see the death of his agenda and to see him totally embarrassed after our wishes for his failure come true.

Beyond the basic fact that I don’t want to see him dead, his wife a widow, or his children fatherless, any conservative who gives this any thought should realize that (A) neither “President Biden” nor “President Pelosi” are going to be any better and that (B) the last thing we need is another John F. Kennedy-like martyr for the left. Think about all the things named after Kennedy, the longing for “Camelot”, and the whitewashing of Kennedy’s presidency and imagine the same thing being done for Obama. No thanks.

The astrologers you are talking to are noticing that Obama has some very tough aspects in November, and the 16th does look inauspicious for him.
That said, no astrologer can predict exactly WHAT will happen on any particular date, only WHEN the difficult aspects will affect any particular chart.
As Quix will confirm, the bible is pretty definite about not using astrology for “prophecy”. It is fine to understand that there is a time for everything under heaven, and to “wonder” at the timing of the aspects as these relate to events in our lives, but it is very wrong to predict anything specifically, for we cannot ever know the mind of God.
Ask your friends what aspects they are considering, and ask for the basic symbolism of the planets involved. Tell them to lay off the prophecy stuff for it gives astrology a bad name, and is not how it is properly used.

No. And for the exact same reason I didn’t want anything to happen to Bill Clinton: Because I don’t want to hear for the rest of my natural life what a tragedy it was that his life and his work got cut short. (His life, yes, his work, not so much.) As bad as it would have been for Bubba, I think we all know it would be even worse if it happened to Obama.
I’d guess little racist Tutu has visions of killing millions of whiteys and sipping julips from the porch while watching the remaining white slaves pick cotton.

Someone, somewhere, is sitting there right now contemplating how to do it.
