Please, NO ONE in their right minds would want Joe Biden as president.

Giggle.

Obama, of course, has been the target of unbounded hate from the moment that he announced that he was a presidential candidate in February 2007. The personal death threats began flooding in to his campaign. Obama had the dubious distinction of being the earliest presidential contender to be assigned Secret Service protection on the campaign trail. As the crowds grew bigger at Obama rallies and his public visibility grew even greater, the Secret Service increased the number of agents assigned to guard him.

I didn't know that. Wonder whether TOTUS has a security detail as well?

The Messiah aura the left has created around Obama has a great deal to do with the increase in threats. The unstable tend to fixate on those who are depicted as more than human. We see it with the nuts who go after celebrities. Add in the fact, unlike movie stars, Obama claims to be able to improve people’s lives and the mentally off are certain to fixate in a negative way on him.

From the Article: ...that's just to much to stomach.

Should read: ...that's just to too much to stomach.

Fixed it. Everyone needs an editor. Apparently, so does the sourced publication.

The Left snitches to the SS more than does the Right. Otherwise, there would have been five times as many Leftist death threats against Bush made by liberals during his term.

The Left progresses by shuting down free speech and making people afraid to speak. They do it on college campuses with the threat against students that they will fail if they speak incorrectly. They do that in public schools. The vast majority of authority in schools is communist.

No surprise threats reported to the SS have increased in the Left’s effort to shut down “un-American” speech.

Deliberately vague. Don’t need this administration causing me problems. You can think what you want to. Don’t want to detail specific actions. THAT can cause problems.

oh, FFS. Now they’re trying to crank up the fear and “rally around the black president because they’re going to kill him” anger routine. Is there anything libs won’t do?

Who’s deliberately vague?

A good Christian would certainly view it as immoral to wish he could literally kill a nuisance politician. Though it would not be immoral at all to wish or pray that God would act independently to bring discipline upon such a person.

Perhaps you ought to have said “voicing such sentiments.” That could be in earnest or in jest.

I didn’t hear about that, but I wouldn’t doubt it. I know the SS are extemely professional and disciplined, but it must be hard to work with someone you find utterly offensive.

You’re picking on, irritating, bothering the wrong person. Don’t send me another message...either publicly or privately. If you do, I’m going to hit the abuse button on the public message.

Yes I would think ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and others would be reporting this drastic rise in threats.

Obama's message of hope and change feeds into rightist paranoia. He has drawn an instant global throng of admirers who see in him the embodiment of change and a fresh direction for US policy on the war and the easing of global tensions. He's also seen as a potential president who can put a diverse, humane face on American foreign policy.

Talk about Pavlovian drool...

There is no reason to kill Obama. No one wants to hear about him like JFK all the time.
