Let's Talk Astroturf

So I received an email/comment this morning about a craigslist ad soliciting health care activism for money. “Activism for money,” I thought!! Was this it at last? The missing link Democrats have been searching for? Obamacare opponents turning up at town halls really are a mob?

We really are nothing but a slew of paid hacks drummed up by the promise of easy cash by cynical Obamacare opponents to create an artificial appearance of opposition?!?

Ummmm, no.

Click through for the screenshots. There are literally hundreds of postings across the country soliciting pro-Obamacare protesters for money. Of special note, they are high density in spots where violence has broken out.

They are trying to provoke violence from true healtchare protestors, so that the gov’t can invoke martial law. Don’t go there.
The Congress/WH that are pushing this Healthcare as their takover, and that’s why the SEIU/ACORN/AARP/?? are getting pushy/violent. They want a peaceful takeover, because anything else would be TREASON:

The above law was passed in 01/08, and the Constitution addresses TREASON in Article III, but not as specifically. WATCH for violations

Ha... Anyone with any sense (that may leave out a few of our distinguished Senators and Representatives) would know that this is an enormous grass-roots revolt. They can pretend to ignore them or talk about AstroTurf but in the end, they will be discharged unceremoniously...ha. So...you idiots in Washington - take care, you may be next to belong to the unemployed group!

Freepers should take the jobs, then film everything said and post it on YouTube.

This is such a great idea. Call in, find out who is paying, or take the jobs and see who pays. Film the whole thing. I love this idea.

SEIU or its front organization HCAN has taken to hiring illegal aliens to do the astroturfing real Americans won’t do

These two guys were put into action after being recruited at a nearby illegal alien day laborer hangout. Seeing as the proposed Obamacare will give them free healthcare if it is passed, it is ironic that they had no idea what their signs said.

Leftist Bloggers Who Get Marching Orders from Obama Attack Protesters as “Astroturf”
By Philip Klein on 8.5.09 @ 11:06AM

Last month, President Obama held a conference call with a small group of liberal bloggers, asking them to keep pressure on Congress in the health care fight. Now those same bloggers are part of an orchestrated effort by the Democratic Party and the White House to portray protests against their health care legislation as, well, orchestrated.

“It is important just to keep the pressure on members of Congress because what happens is there is a default position of inertia here in Washington,” Obama instructed the bloggers last month. “And pushing against that, making sure that people feel that the desperation that ordinary families are feeling all across the country, every single day, when they are worrying about whether they can pay their premiums or not... People have to feel that in a visceral way. And you guys can help deliver that better than just about anybody.”

Obama later added, “I know the blogs are best at debunking myths that can slip through a lot of the traditional media outlets...And that is why you are going to play such an important role in our success in the weeks to come.”

Since then, support for legislation has cratered, and those bloggers who get their marching orders from the White House and DNC have become part of the effort to attack ordinary Americans expressing their beliefs about an issue of great importance.

The Secret Side of David Axelrod

The Obama campaign’s chief strategist is a master of “Astroturfing” and has a second firm that shapes public opinion for corporations

David Axelrod has long been known for his political magic. Through his AKP&D Message & Media consultancy, the campaign veteran has advised a succession of Democratic candidates since 1985, and he’s now chief strategist for Senator Barack Obama’s bid for President. But on the down low, Axelrod moonlights in the private sector.

From the same address in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, Axelrod operates a second business, ASK Public Strategies, that discreetly plots strategy and advertising campaigns for corporate clients to tilt public opinion their way. He and his partners consider virtually everything about ASK to be top secret, from its client roster and revenue to even the number of its employees. But customers and public records confirm that it has quarterbacked campaigns for the Chicago Children’s Museum, ComEd, Cablevision, and AT&T.

ASK’s predilection for operating in the shadows shows up in its work. On behalf of ComEd and Comcast, the firm helped set up front organizations that were listed as sponsors of public-issue ads. Industry insiders call such practices “Astroturfing,” a reference to manufacturing grassroots support. Alderman Brendan Reilly of the 42nd Ward, who has been battling the Children’s Museum’s relocation plans, describes ASK as “the gold standard in Astroturf organizing. This is an emerging industry, and ASK has made a name for itself in shaping public opinion and manufacturing public support.”

These don’t look like paid astroturfers to me!

Compare them to the real astroturfers down the page with pre-made signs by the SEIU Union.

These are the jobs Obama promised. He makes the problem so tons of money is spent to “solve” it.

This article shows the democrats have changed the topic in the healthcare debate and are now in control of that debate.

This article instead of addressing the protests are involved in the how do the protesters get to the meetings and who tells them where to go,

FOCUS, FOCUS DO NOT LET THEM DISTRACT YOU!

"You can bet your last dime this is where the "Economic Stimulus" money is really going. "

ACORN is going to be Obama's government enforcement department, as well as central control for all of Obama's branches of government, including services such as "community health services", public health care sign up and management offices, ACORN federal law compliance and enforcement policing... very similar to Hitlers' Nazi youth squads.
