THIS WEEK (ABC): Former national Democratic Party chairman Howard Dean; former House speaker Newt Gingrich, Georgia Republican.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations; Sen. Richard Durbin, Illinois Democrat; Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican; Republican pollster Bill McInturff; Democratic pollster Peter Hart; Linda Douglass, communications director for the White Houses Health Reform Office; Ed Gillespie, former Bush White House counselor.
I start everyday with a prayer that Graham has a bonafide conservative contender in his next election.
He is an idiot...he just bashed Rumsfeld over the war in Iraq, using Rummy to claim that we have to commit enough money and troops to occupy Afghanistan.
I guess he doesn’t remember how well that worked for the Russians.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Frankly I’d rather see the thing passed then get some kind of watered-down thing that will much easier to slip through the door later when nobody’s watchin. Bearing in mind that our so-called opposition party is too often in the tanning booths and keeping all head hairs in their properly appointed places. Example, so far this morning I saw only one pub out and about on the talk shows. WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS?? Shouldn’t they be on every talk show shooting down this health care thing?
At any rate, once this thing passes, everybody with a heart beat will be jumping on the band wagon and will promise to repeal the thing.
And they will win, yes they will.
It’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
You got all sorts of investigative journalists that can find out all sorts of out. How come not ONE of you propaganda stooges in Government directed media can provide even a single document or person to back up your accusations about the town halls?
Could it be because you, like your Democrat Party masters, are simply lying to the American people?
Hiya Snugs! How’s Dad?
Always great to see you.
Yes McConnell did a great job. Kudos to him.
Wanting to give credit where credit is due.
He'd have done even better if he had Timeout with him.
I simply thing you’re wrong. Rasmussen’s daily shows a drop in O’s numbers today. Independents look at the extremist authoritarian reaction by Dems, their desire to silence all criticism. Moreover, senior citizens are shifting away from supporting O on this. If Dems lose seniors, their toast.
I don’t see any other thoughtful Republican or conservative seeing things the way you do!
Up here in Delaware, a so-called purple state, the uproar is half and half each party. Nobody’s organizing anything.
Recall that it was Delaware where the lady shouted Mike Castle, a Republican, about Obama’s birth certificate. She were not ME folks as I received lots of email so asking.
anyway, you can’t tell Castle from a Democrat anyway but this is not a party line thing and no matter what is said or how they try to spin it, these things are hurting Obama and the health care issue.
And you know what else? Since nobody else will tell you the truth like The Wise I? I strongly, strongly suspect many of the Dems out conducting these things desperately want the public to come out and shout them down.
I suspect that many Dems, and it increases each day, do NOT wish to vote FOR this thing and the more public uproar the more ammunition they have. With it this way they can shrug their shoulders as if “I tried”.
No they haven't. He down where he was a week ago. -8 overall approval. The movement this week is all within the margin of error. Just statistical noise.
As for the rest of your posts. You really want to try auguring that by fighting back we are losing?
You could not be more wrong. Read the polling data. Approval vrs disapproval on the protestors is 41% pro, 35% opposed.
You also seem to have missed what happened at the AARP meeting this week. The organizers had to walk out. They were getting an earful from the seniors about their support for Obamamcare.
LOL Howard Dean tried to run the number of uninsured up to 60 million, but sort of backed off to just 50 million.
Polling data puts it 41% favorable to protesters, 35% anti , the rest cannot be bothered to pay attention.
When they go to bury Howard Dean, his mouth will be moving and he will be lying.
He is just amazing. The man has no principles whatever.
I saw Timeout’s proposed talking points and I shook my head ruefully. He’s right, of course. Or she, I dunno.
I don’t think any political party ever had worst representatives than the pubs. I always watch Chris Matthews for about 15 minutes every night just so I can ascertain what the White House is upset about today.
Every time there’s a pub guest he or she does an awful job. Matthews beats them down every single time.
They just don’t know how to express what us peons feel. They are too busy trying to please Chris Matthews give me a break.
How ironic is it that the Kennedy family is gathered around the death bed of Eunice who has done so much for the mentally disabled and her close to death Brother is trying to pass a law that will deny medical interventions to those children.
Wow, when Steffie didn’t think Dean was doing a good enough job of advancing the administration’s talking points, he jumped in and took over the job himself.
I see Peggy Noonan sticking her smarly little priggish face into this.
That should be smarmy.
She got one thing right...the healthcare debate is uniting Republicans, conservatives, and moderates.
