WASHINGTON - America's third largets party Friday called on Democrats to end what appears to be a budding campaign of union violence targeted at citizens who dissent with the White House at town hall meetings across the country. Libertarians oppose not only the White Houses's plan for government-run medicine, but the use of violence to achieve polirtical or social goals.

You think that the little libertarian party whose platform is Abortion, Heroin, and Homosexuals in the military and Gay Marriage is made up of a bunch of vets and right wingers?
They have 226,000 registered members and all of the 49 third parties combined pulled a total of 1.4% of the vote in 2008, yet the liberaltarians use press releases to give the impression that they mean something to someone.
Pretty snarky comment.
"You are either with us or against us". Yes they mean something to us.
All “third parties” including the open borders libertarian party, when all of their votes were put into a huge pile and totaled up, came to 1.4%. Whatever was left (98.6%)was won or lost by the two remaining parties.
Republicans, Democrats, libertarians whatever. I don’t care.
I welcome anyone that loves this country and wants to stop this government power grab to join our tea party movement.
“we are going to kick his political ass around like a rag doll. without using physical violence.”
How?
When one party to a dispute is willing to use violence, and the other is not, the first always — always — wins.
by speaking the truth.
Totally open borders?, totally unrestrained Homosexuality in the military?, totally unrestrained Abortion?, giving children to homosexuals in adoption, no thanks.
“by speaking the truth”
And how is that going to strike down the thugs? How is that going to prevent leftist judges, legislators, and bureaucrats from overthrowing the Constitution?
Speak the truth all you want, the old cliche is true: You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, and that’s enough.
We whom you cannot fool all the time are too few in number, and too excluded from society’s institutions, to set things right by merely speaking the truth.
Do you notice how their “statements” never mention things like this?
2004 Libertarian Party Platform Immigration:
Immigration
The Issue: We welcome all refugees to our country and condemn the efforts of U.S. officials to create a new “Berlin Wall” which would keep them captive. We condemn the U.S. government’s policy of barring those refugees from our country and preventing Americans from assisting their passage to help them escape tyranny or improve their economic prospects.
The Principle: We hold that human rights should not be denied or abridged on the basis of nationality. Undocumented non-citizens should not be denied the fundamental freedom to labor and to move about unmolested. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age or sexual preference. We oppose government welfare and resettlement payments to non-citizens just as we oppose government welfare payments to all other persons.
Solutions: We condemn massive roundups of Hispanic Americans and others by the federal government in its hunt for individuals not possessing required government documents. We strongly oppose all measures that punish employers who hire undocumented workers. Such measures repress free enterprise, harass workers, and systematically discourage employers from hiring Hispanics.
Transitional Action: We call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally.
during the Vietnam war, anti war protesters were a tiny minority. and they made a huge difference. right or wrong.
United we stand, divided we fall.
Let me reiterate. I’m completely against that idiotic policy.
A single city could attract more demonstrators than all of the people that vote Libertarian.
Throw in lavish media coverage and you have a minor effect although it wasn't as significant as you thought, the "greatest generation" did all the heavy lifting.
“during the Vietnam war, anti war protesters were a tiny minority. and they made a huge difference. right or wrong.”
Those who turned out at demonstrations may have been a tiny minority, but they were funded by the USSR and supported by fifth columnists throughout our institutions. Further, they did not recoil from violence, nor were they speaking the truth.
That filty commie scum Walter Crankcase made more of a difference than all of them together.
The thread is about the Libertarians, that was taken directly from their platform.
Full on homo stuff in our military could have been the choice, or gay marriage, or Abortion at a level that we have never seen before in America or any where else for that matter, there is a reason why the Libertarian party is a myth and in reality no one belongs to it.
I do not agree with your description. They are not “for” those things they do not think it is any of the Federal Governments business.
The platform says they want the government out of it. Not for or against it. Just government out. The indoctrination aspect is the main issue as I see it. With a shrunken government that ceases to great extent.
