Thanks for the ping Quix. I expected this, but not quite so soon, really (re: the flag@whitehouse.gov operation).
Have you read the article from FOX News? The email address itself runs afoul of the privacy act of 1974, and if they delete ANY of the emails they have received it violates ANOTHER statute. Also, ALL emails are REQUIRED to be turned over to the National Archives! What a mess.
The White House really is in a Catch-22 situation on this. Even a SPAM folder deleting emails would run afoul of the law! AND, those at the White House should keep in mind that all Conservatives who have written to that address probably have a copy of the emails in their “sent” folders and can PROVE they were sent, even if they decided to delete emails. They can’t get out of this — unless of course no-one in a position of power decides to pursue the issue. I think Sen. Conryn(sp?) would be the one to get the ball rolling from what I’ve read in the last day or so. However, with the Dems in control of Congress, and the AG most definitely not being one who will start an investigation, I’m not sure where that leaves us really...
UGH, so frustrating... Thanks again for the ping though — these posters are excellent. It would be a good idea to pass these around. As someone who’s been offline for several months now I can GUARANTEE that the vast majority of the public has NO IDEA this is happening AT ALL.
Nor do they care.
INDEED . . . 30% TO 70% HAVE BEEN OR ARE CLUELESS.
Thankfully, the percentages are changing . . . however . . . won’t ultimatly do a lot of National Good.
They really have planned to foment this chaos for a long time.
So, does this mean the emails are subject to an FOIA request? LOL
