Glad to offer the report. I was impressed with the number of people that showed up. The room, which looked to have once been a gym, wasn’t overflowing to the outside, but all seats were filled and people were standing along the perimeter.

Adler is a democrat and he said repeatedly that he is NOT voting for the health care reform bill. He said he would not vote for a bill that gave health care to illegals and that the current proposal would bankrupt the country.

There were many people in line and not enough time was allotted to answer everyone’s questions. My wife wanted to ask him what specifically would change his mind. She wanted to know just how much he was opposed to the health care reform and to root out what, if any, interests was he hoping to promote.

Here is more information on Adler-

Interesting.

Five of the six listed in Illinois are in predominantly black districts. I know, because I'm familiar with each location. Here's the breakdown, I wonder if anyone else is doing analysis of these "town halls" to see if the Democrats are trying to rig the crowds in their favor:

The first "rally" is on August 15th and is actually a mini Pro-Obamacare march kicking off in the heart of Danny Davis' (D. IL) district, which is overwhelmingly black.

The second rally being held later that day again by Danny Davis (D. IL) and is being held in a park in the center of his district, which is again overwhelmingly black.

The third rally is being held on 8/18 by Jesse Jackson Jr. at"Sheldon Heights Church of Christ" .. this is a large, predominantly black church on Chicago's south side. A political rally at a black church? I'm shocked .. SHOCKED I tell you! Where's the IRS and why aren't they yanking their tax exempt status?

The fourth "rally" is on 8.22 being held at "Malcolm X College" on Chicago's near South Side by Danny Davis (again.) Surprise, it's in a overwhelmingly black neighborhood (the train I take to work passes right by this "college" and through the neighborhood which looks like a war zone.)

A fifth rally, again held by Danny Davis is in the 2nd Baptist Church of Maywood, which is more than 90% black. I used to have to drive through this neighborhood to get to/from where I worked while in college and was once mugged there sitting at a stop light. (That was in 1985) Again, where is the IRS and why isn't this "Church's" tax exempt status being yanked?

The final, sixth rally is being held in Skokie, Illinois the home of rabid pro-government run health care proponent Jan Shakowsky (D. IL) at a local high school. This is the *only* town hall that is not located in a predominantly black neighborhood, but is however considered one of the most liberal Congressional districts in Illinois.

Now, I know each of the neighborhoods that these "town halls" are being held in as I've been through each and every one of them. I've also looked at the Congressional maps and seen the racial makeups of each district. My observations here are based in pure FACT.

Now the question is, is anyone else seeing a similar pattern for these so-called "town halls" that are being planned across the country?

Final question: should this be it's own thread? I'm really wondering what kind of pattern is emerging here. I think the Democrats are deliberately trying to stack the deck in their favor in planning these events so they can label any 'protesters' as illegitimate out-of-district protesters.

Reserve Louisiana is 50+% black.

I heard the same comments from some friends.

But guess what, it didn’t work for them here.

I guess it is a question of motivation.

They are happy with his proposals and expect them to happen. We are not.

>>>> I guess I could stand outside and empty office or forum and voice my displeasure. <<<<

Screw that.

1) FIND A FREE HALL.

2) OBTAIN A MICROPHONE. (Cause we know the AARP will not share theirs!)

3) ADVERTISE IT AS A “HEALTH CARE TOWN HALL for Congressman X {in abstentia due to cowardice}”

4) Get a handfull of your fellow area conservatives helping to promote and organize it.

The AARP is going around holding ‘health care town halls’. Why can’t you?

JUST DO IT MATE.

Not a bad idea.

I wouldn’t do it for my representative though since she is solidly in the conservative court. One our senators is another solid conservative. Alas, our other senator is a liberal who just got elected last fall. With five more years before her, I doubt she would give a damn what we have to say. Hell the country may be completely reshaped in five years.

Basically, it would be a tea party, which wouldn’t be bad idea.

Cool. So you have the Senator to do it for.

Only you have to call it a ‘town hall’ and not a ‘tea party’.

Its a “So what would you say to your Senator if your Senator would bother to listen to you about Health Care” town hall.

I like the idea of having an inflatable Senator there !!!

It should be setup to run in short segments - each person gets a say and then it immediately gets U-tubed and commented.

Hmmm.

None listed, anyway. They may be having small, unannounced town halls with supporters, unions, and college students.

The goal is not to keep you informed, the goal of the organizers is to make the congressman feel safe in voting for the bill. This is all about the congressmen, not us, we don’t count.
